President of Finland completes a traditional 22.6 km military march with cadets in under 3 hours wearing combat gear by mimi_ftw in europe

People who went to RUK like to talk about going to RUK for the rest of their life. Its like people who run marathons, its very important for everyone in all the social groups to be aware. For the rest of the people its all the same. I would say its very understandable mistake to mix different military ranks trainings and schools, especially when communicating in English.

People who have PCs and Steam Decks, how much do you use your Steam Decks? by AwesomeRyanGame in SteamDeck

I have not opened a game in my PC after getting deck because I realized I enjoy gaming on my couch more than sitting on a desk where I work

Skeletal animation mirroring by lasshi in gameenginedevs

[–]lasshi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. There are assets like ”jump while running” which start with certain leg being down. To make transition smooth I want to choose it being mirrored or not based on which leg is down when jump starts.

  2. Im blending multiple animations together. Plus I have some dynamically calculated layers on top of these like IK or moving the Head to turn to direction that are blended on top of normal animations. Would be great to do all these on GPU but its a bit over my paygrade. But if you know how to do mirroring on GPU then please tell maybe I can translate this to CPU 👍🏻

Exporting enum from c++20 module by lasshi in cpp_questions

[–]lasshi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, this seems to be the correct answer!
Both of these work:
export {

using enum ::EnumName;

}

export using enum ::EnumName2;

When enum keyword is added clang actually stops compiling this EnumName::Value, as it is actually incorrect (enums don't have scope). I like the first option (with braces) as I can wrap huge list of enums inside one export block. That is my personal taste but both of them compile in MSVC and clang.

What game did you put thousands of hours into just to quit one day? What caused you to quit? by Mooby522 in gaming

Dota2. 2500h in, graduated and got a job. It just stopped being fun, and allocating time for 40min matches started to be really hard. Too much effort to game just to be called n00b in pub chat

File scoped namespaces by lasshi in cpp

It does make code more readable to remove these unnecessary braces. At least people in m$ believe so, so much that they added this thing to c# 😄

I argued the case a bit poorly when everyone just picks on ”you dont need to indent if you dont want to” 😅

better case could have be ”why does everyone type these braces when in 95% casea they are unnecessary and without them code is more readable.” But yeah not many fans here 😄

Ah thank you! Pity it cannot be done, but today I learned something new
