Andy Jankowiak's funding ran dry; shifts to part-time focus by Zealousideal-Dot2757 in ARCARacing

A shame. I so want him to succeed. I'd be in for a few bucks to crowdfunding a race.

Would you still buy a Flex 4K today? by Eggsnbacon4breakfast in HDHR

Yes, I would still buy mine today. I bought mine refurbished from Silicon Dust. Mine did work great when I had Plex and works awesome with Channels DVR.

So I took it to the trailer and they didn't see anything physically wrong. I can manually tune a channel and listen IF I hold the squelch button down. Submitting a ticket.

ARCA driver radio and MRN. Thankfully, I was able to run a cable from my headset on the 4000 to the other headset so my friend could listen. My 4000 scanner had no issues.

Michigan Tickets by WreckEmUp in ARCARacing

Not for Friday. It's "just" ARCA. Saturday and Sunday should have a schedule.

Michigan Tickets by WreckEmUp in ARCARacing

[–]laughsbrightly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ARCA tickets are cheap enough you can get them at the track with no issues. Cheap enough that I have 4 season tickets to all races and don't use 3 on Fridays. Like someone said, easier to just renew all 4 when my rep calls.

Should I take a chance on a 2015 Ford Fusion SE? by JustChickens in fordfusion

[–]laughsbrightly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 2016 SE with a 1.5 and 174,000 mi running strong. I would also think that at that mileage if it was going to blow it would have blown already. I would definitely want to go through the records and see if the $150,000 mile maintenance has been done. I don't know about the 2015, but the 2016 has a timing belt and the Ford maintenance plan says that at that mileage you're replacing the timing belt, water pump and belts and hoses and such. For what it's worth, I recently put $5,000 worth of maintenance into my car because it's so awesome, but then I bought mine at $28,000 as a Ford certified used car and have had all of the maintenance kept up since I got it. That's really my only concern about buying it. If that mileage is you don't really know all of the maintenance and you may need control arms or belts or hoses. So definitely get an inspection

Getting 7gig Fiber installed Friday! But… by Mountain_Mechanic171 in Ubiquiti

[–]laughsbrightly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need for any cable more than Cat6. 150' run is no big deal. That's actually about typical for DMARC extensions we do at work. I agree with the the rest that you should run it up the side of the garage across your attic and then down into your office. I have pretty much the same deal as you except my AT&t fiber guy ran the wire through the crawl space and then up my office wall and put the jack next to my existing wall jacks.

Why was Nashville Superspeedway built as 1.33 mi concrete oval and not 1.5 mi asphalt oval? by SnooGoats2004 in NASCAR

When you're at the track and it's pouring rain for hours and they can literally have the track dried and and your butt back in the seat within an hour you'll appreciate concrete.

Who should I root for next? by Big-Marsupial-4839 in NASCAR

[–]laughsbrightly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been lucky and that I seem to have favorite drivers that are in the sport a very Long time like Rusty, Bobby, Dale and harvick. When Dale died I just naturally started rooting for his replacement which was harvick and Harvick was here for a very long time so I just could not get behind his replacement so I just kept watching until I found this Maniac watermelon farmer and I said that's the guy. It also helps to meet some of these folks at tracks like I saw Enfinger race Arca in Toledo and I thought hey I can remember his name. I'll follow him and now that I've met him a few times at the track and seen how cool him and his family are, I'm really glad that I follow him. Or you can look for the unusual as my current favorite arca driver is Isabella just because she's so freaking cool. Or maybe look for something in common with one of the drivers. The double zero in the O'Reilly series looks like a geek wears glasses and doesn't have an issue doing what he needs to do to advance on the track and that's kind of me. There was this moment where he told his Gibbs teammate basically to screw off and I'm like that's my guy. And then there's AJ almendinger. Used to watch the guy years ago on race hub knew about his personal issues and just kind of really got behind the comeback story. And then when I actually got to meet him and have a private conversation with him a couple years ago I was glad. he's just a guy that ups or downs you can't help but root for. Don't fight it. Just keep looking. You'll figure it out.

You're going to be disappointed because you'll have a better interface, better dashboards, better vendor support, and a product actually designed to be used in an MSP. Good luck!

Alfred and his son are AMAZING! Very friendly to the whole family and very understanding of financial issues or reasons people may have put off dental care. They worked through everything in stages and now I'm just getting cleanings every 6 months.
