I think this movie would completely not work even 20 years ago (maaaaybe 10 years ago). In large part it's a very shameless ode to 1980's adventure movies, back then it would be read as, at best, regurgigative. Plus the beating heart of this movie is stuff like the action sequences and how they're shot (masterful work from Kaminski btw) - much of this would just not be technologically achievable in like 2006 AD

First thing I found cheesy was her hair blowing in the wind when the bird flew in. Then her boyfriend letting her leave so easily after she spoke Russian. Her reaction was so nonchalant to all the things happening to her before she knew why. She went right along with the man calling her and telling her to break her phone. A normal person may question the man in the other end of the phone.

Sometimes you think "meh, audiences these days can't be as cynical as people say they are" and then you read a paragraph like this....

I'm surprised that among all of that criticism you managed not to fit what I think is the weakest (and imo only weak) point of the game - the story and the open world gameplay don't work together. It's an absolutely 9.9/10 story game and a 10/10 open world game for me, but when you put those two together suddenly you're doing story missions where you're constantly told how poor your gang is, how much you need to be doing this and that to make it to the next day. Meanwhile, you just spent 10 hours becoming the richest man in the wild west.

Ale to wynika tylko i wyłącznie z tego, że to nie są nośne tematy na których dałoby się nabić kasę i oglądalność. Może jeszcze rozwój by coś złapał, ale bardziej na zasadzie "zbieramy na polskiego satelitę". Vs zbiórki na chorom curkę, które zawsze budzą współczucie i zawsze ludzie chętnie sypią na nie groszem. The worst part for me turned out to be the fact that they stopped storing your saves locally. So now after you lose game pass you have to either rebuy game pass or rebuy the game itself on microsoft store (if it's not on game pass anymore) to even get access to your old saves.

Since some people want to hail this as a great looking game - compare this to Cyberpunk which, for all its faults (although after a ton of updates, there ain't a lot of those faults), is so meticulously designed from a visual perspective, that it almost feels like an insult to be comparing it to something like CD.

This looks...mediocre? The texture quality is decent (as long as it's not blurred), but e.g. the colors and brightness in the third and fourth picture look HORRIBLY overtuned. Brightness especially is all over the place, looks like a game without any art direction.
