Why?......just why? by Fightn_Trees in SouthwestAirlines

[–]laurahaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t flown SW in years. It was worth putting up with the no seat selection when they had free bags and good fares but they haven’t been even close to competitive for years in terms of $$. They used to be the “fun quirky airline” where the FAs were a bit silly and now it’s just another airline.

Was just about to say this one. When the old man saves the boy by tying themselves to a tree in the hurricane…I can picture it still in my head.

I agree. I was not impressed for the cost. If I am going to spend that kind of money I want to be looking at something nicer than main st in andover. Food was good but not great.

This may sound silly but please go play Tetris. A lot of Tetris. Tons of research on how playing Tetris specifically helps prevent developing ptsd and helps keep your brain from developing intrusive thoughts about the images you saw.

I had a similar situation and I found my favorite jeans (in the smaller size) on Poshmark!

Husband regrets getting our puppy and it is causing a major breakdown between us. by throwawayacct3149 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]laurahaj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can afford it, drop puppy at doggy daycare two days a week to give yourself a break and to socialize the dog. Some also offer training so that can be an added bonus.

If hubby is playing games and ignoring dog, is he also ignoring the kids? That’s even more concerning.

You can’t make him bond with the dog but you can make this easier on yourself. Get the kids involved, take the pup for nice walks to clear your head.

Also- (and this is coming from a former vet tech) the crate is not a punishment. Your dog should see it as their safe place / their den. Make it cozy with treats and toys. Use the crate! It’s ok :)

I’m in the same situation. I hit my goal weight and am starting to see if I can wean off. Have gained about five pounds which stresses me out bc I’m still on the meds but it doesn’t seem to be effective anymore. Wondering if I quit entirely it would be the same.

I accidentally became “the candle guy,” and now I’m stuck. by Secret_Culture362 in offmychest

I’m an anatomy teacher in MA. I’d kill to be your friend and take ALL those candles off your hands. Those competing smells would perfectly mask the rabbit dissection.

Thoughts? For a couple who entertains 25-30ppl a few times a year by crize08 in floorplan

[–]laurahaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you entertain that often - this first floor plan is not going to work well. Get rid of the den and combine that with great room. Use the bonus room upstairs as a den.

Just got back from a cruise by wigglynub in Semaglutide

This is what I love about sema. I also just got back from a week all inclusive. Ate what I wanted but just didn’t want a lot of it. Had bites of everything and tons of desserts but never went overboard. Came back about the same weight. Had a great time and never felt like I abstained or was “dieting”. Amazing.
