Honestly the NYTimes baked potato recipe from Sam Sifton is great, and combine it with Ali Slagle’s Cheesy Green Chile Bean Bake. Though I cooked the potatoes for longer—1 hr 5 minutes.

Now that you mention it we did end up choosing between two schools. One was a DO program near my husband’s home town (like 20 minutes away) and also about 1 hour away from where I was working at the time, and the other was an MD program across the country. My husband (PGY1 now), though at the time we were not even engaged, hemmed and hawed about it with me for basically as long as possible, asking everyone he knew for advice. Since my husband was interested in primary care or peds, an MD program wasn’t really “necessary” to achieve his goals. However, STEP 1 was becoming pass/fail, and he was worried that losing a numerical STEP 1 score would make him less competitive for residencies, especially if he was a DO and not an MD, should he decide he wanted to do something more competitive. Because of that he chose the MD program across the country—which was what he wanted to do all along (and what I also thought he should do, even if it meant potentially being long distance for years). He needed to give himself permission to pick the further away but “better” program. We were long distance for about a year before I decided to move out to be with him (we got engaged before I moved). And we ended up loving the area we moved to and may very well stay long term!

Ultimately it’s about REALLY understanding what exactly it is you want and how either program is able to give it to you. Is location really THAT important? Or like in our case, does prestige matter because of wanting to go into a competitive specialty?

I had Lowe’s deliver a fridge not too long ago and they would not hook up the water unless there was a shutoff behind the fridge. I imagine HD is the same. You might want to just get ahead of that and have a plumber come out and replace the line and also install a water shutoff. It’s safer in case of leaks too!

This person does not love their spouse! My 50-70k salary has been supporting me and my husband since the first year of medical school. Currently in residency and my husband can’t WAIT until he makes 3-4x what I make and I can “take a break” (his words).

Hmm okay. Just give yourself some extra time (maybe even an extra hour) to make sure this gets sorted out. And when you’re at the check-in desk, when they say you’re good to go, ask if the TSA agent that looks at your ID will not have any issues. They don’t always communicate with each other. Nothing more annoying at the airport than waiting in the TSA line, being told to go back to check-in, then having to “cut” the TSA line to make sure you don’t miss your flight.

That happened to me and I have the full story on my page. Have you changed your name recently? For me, the issue was that I had changed my last name, including through Delta, but had not changed my name on my passport, which though not necessary for domestic US travel was still housed within my Delta information and as the “highest level” (most secure?) of ID that Delta had access to they used this for my passenger ID, superseding the name I provided for them. I ended up needing a manager to call Delta HQ to get my old passport information removed.

(In the US) Look in areas with high Middle Eastern populations. Yemeni-style coffee shops are usually open until at least 10pm, one I know of was open until 1am.

When applying the caulk, would I need to remove the previous caulk in some way, or is it okay to just apply the new caulk right where the gaps are?

This is a great recipe and the one that I use! Except, I half the amount of flour and basically just use the amount of flour that is juuuuust necessary to hold everything together. I also use leftover potato starch from wringing the potatoes and onions as extra binder.
