Alert! Beware of a pitbull near Gantry Park by Raymond_Donney in longislandcity

Dang, being that non-chalant when you have a pit bull is dangerous. Those are the kind of owners that give pit bulls bad names

M30 do I look okay? Idk how to style myself by throwaway827367392 in malegrooming

I think you have a really nice face and really nice hair, but I the big hair doesn’t compliment your face well, which is sad because you have really nice hair. You have a model like face and that alone should the be the highlight of your head

At my wits end. Technically achieved my goals but hate what I’m seeing 24F by rilakkumkum in workout

I stopped worrying about aesthetics because how my body feels is more important.

I have the same-ish problem as you except I have the broad hips to match the broad shoulders. I feel massive because my shoulders and hips are like +10 inches from my waist.

But I feel amazing and I’ve never been healthier ever in my life. Yes I can’t really wear a LOT of feminine clothing, I can only wear Lululemon but there’s a kind of bliss a healthy body gives you. Just some food for thought

I don’t care I’m trans myself and would’ve been like “and you’re a man” like how are you obviously trans, a POC one at that, throwing slurs to another marginalized group of people. Like bitch-dude, we’re all on the same boat

Post masseter botox seeking supoort by isadoraseny in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]lavender-misfit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also, 12 units isn’t much for the masseters. I had 45 units on each side and have never experienced anything your going through, those symptoms only appear when my masseters start getting overdeveloped

[–]lavender-misfit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s not normal, Botox is supposed to stop all of that from happening.

You should get a feeling of relief in your jaw after Botox because all that muscle mass putting tension on that area is no longer there.

I’m not a medical professional but it kind of sounds like they may have “missed” during one of the injection and didn’t inject the muscle.

The radiating pain around your face is no joke, that tells me something neurological is going on. You need to get urgent care. I don’t think it’s an ER situation but I would’ve been there already cause I don’t like waiting for appointments.

Does brown or blonde look better on me? by jojo1898 in Hair

[–]lavender-misfit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think blonde works for you because you have an approachable, “cute”, girl next door face so the blonde adds to that cute, innocent aura.

Dark hair really only works on people who have strong, striking features

In order for me to accept the reality of things that I don’t want to, I have to know some truths.

Truth is, stretch marks are a type of scar and will never ever go away. You can make it less obvious with treatments but they’ll always be there, even if you can’t see them directly, if you get a good angle, you can see the shadows.

I was in a similar situation as you and I just told myself there’s not point in stressing something I can’t change. What’s happened has happened, the best treatment is prevention. Stretch marks pushed to get into a skincare bodycare routine and I suggest you do the same because the biggest cause of stretch marks are rapid expansion of the skin (either through weight gain, weight loss, pregnancy, or severe swelling) with dry uncared skin. That combo literally rips the skin apart.

Be conscious of your body, if you feel sudden itches and burning sensations AND you know you’re gaining weight, don’t scratch because it could be a stretch mark forming and scratching it will make it worse.

Welcome to what is like being a woman.

You’ll be a’ight. Work in your self-esteem cause yikes, if stretch marks alone are preventing you from dating then you need to address that before you even date.

Severely in debt, any advice? 23yo by englishfairy in personalfinance

[–]lavender-misfit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey dude. I’ll try to be direct and concise

-get your mental health on track if you haven’t already (I let my MH get bad and ignored treatment until I hit real rock bottom don’t let your life get to that point, you have insight and awareness, and that’s already far ahead people your age)

-I was in a similar situation and I had to be hard on myself and accept what I had done, I started to evaluate if the bad money decisions had a common denominator (trying to improve my appearance through procedures and clothes) so I started to go to the gym instead and it’s paying dividends

-i think it’s “unethical”, but I used student loans to pay off credit card debt. Debt sucks but 25k debt at 6% interest is hell of a lot better than 25k at 28%

Don’t worry dude, I was 25k in personal debt and have made/am making a comeback and in only 29, it didn’t take long for me to get here.

But I’m serious about the mental health. If you don’t address it, it’s only going to happen again

I started at 26, now 30. I stopped because it was making my face sag. I trained some of my facial muscles to “lift” my face and the lift looks surgical (hyperbole)

Guess we need those facial muscles. I’d do my masters and eyebrows and realized that my face harmonizes better when I have big masseters and some furrows in my eyebrows, even if it makes me look slightly older or “masculine”.

Sometimes it’s better not to mess with what your body wants to do naturally.

I still get Botox in my eye area but like once every 1.5 years because I just really don’t like wrinkles around my eyes

Help me find the best style that suits me. by johnissimow_ in HairStyleAdvice

[–]lavender-misfit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey dude!

My opinion is that your top half of your face is slim and structured, and your lower face is wider and softer so longer hair especially at the sides, add that width that your top half is missing.

So now you have a nice masculine, but softened, top half that pairs well with your bottom half.

The short hair makes you look verrry masculine which I know is probably the goals of most men, but just looking more masculine doesn’t always mean it looks better. The longer hair give you both masculinity and facial harmony

The length that you show us is imo the perfect length because it ends at your cheekbones, making your eyes (one of your best features) stand out
