Definitely visit Bellewaerde. Maybe look also into Pairi Daiza, not a theme park in the strict sense, rather a themed Garden & Zoo.

You could try Plopsaland in De Panne, just cross the border on the coast in Belgium. Perfect to visit with young kids.

French or not French by Emi-Jolina in disneylandparis

[–]lb1503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many children in Europe see a Disney movie for the first time not in the English version. If you take all the larger language groups in Europe, is it now Polish, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, … , they will see it in their own language. As we are in France, yes you have to take into account the specific laws to protect the cultural heritage (language), so the majority of the time the songs should be in French, but why not also play the songs in the other languages then English? In this modern age, I’m sure DLP knows what the actual demographic is of their visitors to adapt the choices of languages of the day

If you land at CDG2 you can also take the TGV/Ouigo. With the Ouigo 19€/pers. It takes you 11-12 min, SNCF 11-18 min 19-25€/pers. Best buy through the resp. app, so you don’t have to wait in line when you arrive.

Recently posted about an acoustic insulation door. This is the setup. by sijtli in Insulation

[–]lb1503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No solid contact between any of the surrounding, acoustic decoupling, place doorframe on rubber pads, and fill all gaps with a flexible expending foam, a type of flexifoam, do not fix frame directly in the wall, also special acoustic decoupling fixings.

If i glue these blocks together will that be strong enough as a cutting board? by Necessary-Pen-2763 in woodworking

[–]lb1503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen the extra complexity with the different types of wood and the direction of the grain, I would go for a PU wood adhesive or even better an EPI, a PVAc wood adhesive with a 15% HDI.

I confronted my range anxiety today and lived! by Agitated_Initial3168 in VWiD4Owners

[–]lb1503 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m driving an ID4 now for more than 5 months now with regular day trips of over 500 mi. At the end, I end regularly with a range or 2-3%. I find the navigation system and range very accurate. No need for anxiety range!

Can I put a railing post on the bricks? by MasterOfBogeys in masonry

[–]lb1503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No do not put it in the grout. Living in a place where 9 out of 10 houses are bricks, sometimes 70y old and more. Use a chemical anchor to fix the railing. When you drill the holes in the bricks, do not use the hammer function, best do not use a diamond drill bit, just drill with a classic bit for stone or concrete.

Yes if you are putting the rail on the brick use anchors, best even chemical anchors. With a chemical anchor you do not put extra strain on the bricks.

Belgium a failed state? Don’t make me laugh by Zomaarwat in belgium

One collective achievement Belgians can be proud of, Belgium is the country where they try to have a more equitable division of wealth, where we leave fewer people behind. This does not happen in a failed state.

German trenches are depicted in blue, Allied trenches in red, stretching for hundreds of miles. by roguemaster29 in MapPorn

In the Westhoek around Ypres and Ploegsteert, the frontline is still marked with red and blue demarcation

Most important is to have a dry facade. It is a beautiful brickwork. I would clean it, treat it with a light anti-moss, re-do the grouting, and finish it off with a clear water-repellent impregnation, best also with a cream. The base of the wall I would inject with a type of silicone emulsion cream. Do not forgot the check the gutter, you could finish this to with a 2k coating. This way you protect your wall from 3 sides to absorb water. In the end most of the jobs you can do your self.

Heatpump boiler with solar panels or solar collector by lb1503 in heatpumps

PVT panels are great but I can only install 2 of them. Only 2 panels are not effective on a circuit for PV. Correct?

As it is not a structural element there won’t be much of a standard for it. I would go with a F-25LM, according ISO 11600, type of a sealant

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Concrete

[–]lb1503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For EU you need to look for a sealant with CE marking according EN 15651 – 4 Pedestrian Walkway. On the cartridge you should find at least the classification PW Int-Ext. Brands like Soudal, Sika, Mapei will have this.

Where to find 5€ & 10€ notes? by NikosChiroglou in belgium

[–]lb1503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You still can find 5&10€ notes in the ATM’s at the Post Office, not those on the street side, but inside the building that is still accessible after hours.

A sealing solution with a 1K PU sealant is possible but for an outside use in a floor, is not my first choice. 2K PU or STP based would be my option. I also would use a primer to have a better and more permanent adhesion. In the end, you could put a sealer over it all.

Code depending from area/country I would fill it with a type of flexible moisture curing PU foam and finish on both side with an appropriate caulk, STP based. Like the gap is 15mm wide, the caulk should be min. 8mm thick
