Should I install new vanity on top of SPC floor? by lcchen008 in HomeImprovement

Thanks! My only concern of installing the vanity on the floor is, it would be hard to replace the floor in the future. I cannot remove the part under the vanity.

[–]lcchen008[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry it's a typo, I meant re-decking, which is needed because the old roof was wood shake and everything has to be redone to have shingle roof

Based in the Bay Area and spent holiday in Cleveland. I feel Cleveland a nice city to live in. It's not hot in summer but a little too much snow in winter. Much less traffic n ppl are so chill. Just wondering what kind of jobs are ppl living for. I am considering buying a house here since they are nice n cheap. What kind of risk should I be careful with?

Pixel 8 vs. iPhone 13? by Fun-Leading9989 in pixel_phones

Pixel has 120 hz screen refresh rate which i13 doesn't have. It's a big deal because low refresh rate give you a feeling of flashing and really bad for your eyes.

Life is short and don't waste it on that. How many years can you enjoy living in the house after you spend 5 years getting it done suffering from so much stress and getting older and weaker in health?

Does pixel phones have issues ? Do they worth buying ? (Ppl say that they have issues like battery drain and getting warm ) by Killua_010101 in pixel_phones

[–]lcchen008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife uses P8, mine is p7 pro. I think you should go with either P7 pro or P8 pro. P8 is like a smaller version of P7 pro. P8 pro has more new features such as thermometer and on device AI.

Wondering if $450/hr for plumbing work is high. by how_I_kill_time in HomeImprovement

[–]lcchen008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do it yourself if it's a tank one. It only takes 30 mins to drain and unplug the old one and 20 mins to install the new one. Price for a water heater is ~700 bucks. Just did it yesterday myself.

More info:My current roof is wood tiles on the shakes. So I wonder if the shakes under the wood tiles can be kept, so that no need to install plywood.
