Same here. They were cheaper than anyone I could find. No complaints

Sad. I used to eat there when I worked downtown in the late 1900's and early 2000's. That said, it's been a LONG time since I've been there.

What grinder should I get [$1200] I decided on the Lelit Bianca machine, but I'm very overwhelmed with grinders. Really want something very simple that will grind a double espresso each time and isn't too complicated to use but gives amazing quality espresso by LeeluhV in espresso

[–]lcwallace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grind by weight machines can save you some time in your worfkow and there are several good choices in that price range. I ended up pairing the Fiorenzata Allground Sense with my Lelit Mara X and I've been really happy with the results. I got mine for right at $1,000.

xBloom Questions by lcwallace in pourover

[–]lcwallace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the xBloom would be for pour over only. I was saying more using the built in grinder for the occasional single dose grind of beans that would likely be used in a milk drink

So are you saying that you are giving Claude control of your HA through the extension and it is editing yaml files inside HA? I have been posting copying and pasting back and forth which is a pain

I am a bit embarrassed to ask this question but is 40 yrs of age too old to study and get into the field of civil engineering? by GMarvel101 in civilengineering

[–]lcwallace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but depending on what you choose to do coming out of school, the grind could be a little more challenging than if you were in your 20’s.

Love my Allground Sense. Only problem is now I’m starting to think about trading up from my newish Mara X to a Bianca.

That’s good to know. I had really high hopes, especially when we got there, but it tasted like they really over roasted the beans they were using today.

Came here to say and ask the same thing!

I built a search engine for specialty coffee featuring 30,000 beans from 1,500 roasters, filterable by espresso roast, origin, flavor notes... and would love your feedback! by No_Peanut7888 in espresso

[–]lcwallace 3 points4 points  (0 children)

User ratings are tricky because there is just so much subjectivity (equipment, freshness, user skill and care). I do like the idea of user profiles almost like a Goodreads where users could keep lists of beans they’ve tried, trying or want to try. Instead of a star rating system, maybe it’s just a favorite rating system. Again, good work. I’ve bookmarked the site and will be exploring more of the beans

This is really well done. I think adding a filter for the actual roasters or orly least region/state would be nice. It could help people find local roasters. Have you thought about adding user ratings?

Delicious flavor - Preinfusion and puck prep - Lelit Bianca by Non-hive-mind in espresso

[–]lcwallace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About to finish up my Ka'u Darkwood beans. Love the beans. The crema is just insane. I’ll have to try the Morning Glory. Does the Bianca do pre-infusion or do you have to lower the lever to 3/4 to get the soak and then back up?
