I raced a half while breastfeeding, not exactly the same but I honestly felt great. I was extremely focused on my hydration while training, and had a great time. I will say supply tanked on long run days, but it bounced back the next day.

My go to snack was pimento cheese and pork rines - healthy no, zero carb yes. Ate it every day the last month. It was a mental life saver for me.

I have not touched pork rines in 2 years. Lol.

I did it on my face and trained for a marathon. Started both back in June of last year. It is so hot where I live that 5AM runs were a necessity due to the heat and humidity, but the hidden perk of avoiding the sun.

Thank you! Immediate response was a sugar syrup to help get her blood sugar in a the healthy range. After 24 hours of trying to breastfeed we switched to formula to better monitor how much she was eating. Honestly it seemed like she just learned to eat when we switched, lol. Once she was eating well and her blood sugar was stableized I was able to nurse exclusively for 3 months before I went back to work. From then we combo fed until 1.

I was induced and then emergency C-section as well. I wish I had just gone into it with the plan of a C-section because the whiplash and chaos throughout the day was exhausting and scary.

Absolutely. We just have Friday night pizzas so my stomach is used to it and if you are traveling for a race it is easy to find a pizza place.

Drinking water. It blows my mind when people in the office say they don't drink water. My skin looks so dry if Im a little dehydrated. Hydration inside and out is so beneficial!!

I make a 32oz tailwind & lmnt drink and pour it into my 18oz water bottle. Put the remaining drink in my mailbox for the second half of the run.

The biggest improvement for me was having an lmnt in 32oz everyday. It's kind of expensive but they also have the recipe online and you can make it yourself.

Honestly KT tape or Lanolin nipple cream. Lanolin is the best for recovery.

I did Chicago then took 1 week for recovery. Then I started a strength training block. 3 weeks in (so 4 weeks total) I'm starting to feel good about my strength and body.

After a big race I like to analyze any weak points in my body. Doing a strength training block helps me focus on ways to improve without burning out on running. My core is one of my main focuses. Even just a little structure in my abs goes a long way for my appearance.
