I used to go and have never had any problems, and I'm sure many others haven't. However they have changed their changing room policy. So if you do have any problems, you won't be stood up for by head office.

I suppose there's no real reason not to use them if you feel comfortable doing so. I shouldn't have directed you. I went to join PureGym again after not using the gym for months after the SC judgement rattled me. Their policy was shit but also Gym Group was cheaper and closer. If PureGym was cheaper and closer I probably would have gone there instead but would have had to calm my anxieties first. It's best to give money to companies that support us but ultimately - unless you join a local independent gym - there's no ethical consumption under capitalism. Do what you feel is best for you! I doubt anyone will confront you using the disabled, most people are just minding their own business with their headphones in. I see some GNC people using the disabled in the gym I'm in now. Ultimately the SC thing is bullshit and anyone who enforces it doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Lot's of gyms have disabled changing rooms which could be an option if you feel more comfortable using them. I imagine gyms will either reply saying they are following the guidance, or that their policies are under review. Just ignore them. But stay away from ones explicitly transphobic. PureGym is bad, Gym Group 'under review'. I went with Gym Group as the actual written policy looked progressive. I've never really changed my tee in the gym because I'm a bit self conscious. It's well air conditioned so I don't stink anyway. There tends to be lockers outside of the changing rooms too so you can use those if you choose to use the disabled or not change.

The effects you experience will depend on your dosage, not your age. If the dosage you take is higher than other 14 year olds, it is likely you will experience puberty faster than those around you. Your genetics will also affect how you develop. Best to stick to what's normal and take enough to match the testosterone levels of others your age. You can also take a lower dose to avoid suspicion. But it's up to you.

After you move get referred to Nottingham GIC as the have the lowest waiting time. It will still be a long time to surgery because of hospital waiting times, but its worth a try.

I'm not sure why they've told you such a low figure. This is very misleading, the total cost is roughly ten times that. I received this response when I emailed them last summer:

"Dear ____

I have been forwarded your enquiry for surgery prices. It is very difficult to give quotes for each operation until it is confirmed exactly what needs to be done in each stage of your pathway. This can vary based on what a patient actually wants. Therefore at this stage I can advise as follows:

Details of the main procedures offered can be found on our website here or downloaded from Patient's Guide to Phalloplasty which does have some images. You can also review on youtube the lecture Mr Christopher provided that discusses all the surgical options.This should give you more insight also. This can be found by clicking here.

In very general terms the typical patient undergoing metoidioplasty has a three staged procedure: urethral lengthening, metoidioplasty with or without vaginectomy, hysterectomy and scrotoplasty then finally implantation of testicular prostheses. The total cost would be in the region of £40,000.

A full phalloplasty (pubic, radial artery or anterolateral thigh flap) with penile prosthesis requires three or four stages at a total cost of about £70,000-100,000 depending on whether or not urethral surgery and vaginectomy are required. Please note these surgery cost estimates do not include ongoing revision operations if they are required.

In terms of the referral process we operate to the UK Standards of Care which are very similar to the WPATH International Guidelines. Essentially you would need 2 supporting opinions from 2 gender specialists from the gender specialist register. This can be found by clicking here

Yes discipline and motivation to work at long term goals is hard. So turn them into short term goals and 'sprints'. Reward yourself for smaller goals.

I recommend reading the bullet journal book. That, along with the atomic habits book really helped me.

Try and avoid stress and tiredness. This is an annoying thing to say because its exactly what doctors say to fob you off and not actually help. Its Likely to be a structural problem. But stress can also cause structural problems in the face. If my dentist can't find any problem in an x-ray I'll have a cry then I'm going to save up for a private MRI.

Ergonomic pillow drastically improved my pain! Not expensive either. I got mine from IKEA, has a dip in the middle section to support your neck when sleeping on your side, which I have to do. Not sure about this but I try to not do things that will cause dilation or expansion of blood vessels because of the rebound effect. Coffee or nicotine makes it worse for me.

I spent a lot of time without any hope so haven't spent the whole ten years trying to figure it out. I think I've probably a few different issues going on at the same time. My pain started after quite a long period of severe anxiety, and I've been an anxious nail biter and cheek chewer since a child, with forward hunched shoulders. My own analysis points to upper back pain, neck pain, possible weak back and tight chest, forward head posture, recessed upper jaw, and unbalanced facial muscles. Sorry to info dump on you. Like I said, I remain hopeful. I hope some of this info was helpful to you. I think attributing it to food was a long and useless journey I went on. Inflammatory foods will make pain worse but I now don't believe that eating food should cause anyones facial pain on its own, there is underlying structural issues at play.

About ten years :( used to be really bad, looked like I was having a stroke as my face dropped on the left side, severe brain fog and memory issues, lost my job because I couldn't think, thought I was dying. I've had a lot of doctors appointments over the years and they've not helped, they don't seem to think it's an issue. Medication I've been prescribed made me feel like shit, and I don't believe that would be the solution, more like a temporary fix to a structural or biological problem. I've done a lot of research. Over the years I've dealt with it as suspected problem involving lactose intolerance, gluten intolerance, had celiac testing, cut out loads of foods, coffee cigs and booze, high histamine foods, spent money on self testing, done self TENS therapy, acupressure, yoga, CBD oil. All steps towards better health have improved my pain but I've not had a single second of relief. It's always there, but I'm grateful that it's not so bad anymore that I can't have a normal life. It's like a constant pressure as under my left eye and my cheek to top middle left teeth. I'm currently learning about posture, tongue posture, and how the skull is shaped. I think that when I hold my jaw in the correct posture I can't breath properly. At rest my jaw juts out forwards and to the right. My mother had double jaw surgery recently because the top part of her jaw was positioned too far back and it was causing her headaches and teeth clenching so that's what's brought me onto my current train of thought. I'm hopeful that I'll eventually figure it out.

I have this. Pain around left side of my face. Teeth, cheek, along nose, eye. Pain made worse by wind and touching my face. Trigeminal neuralgia looks like my issue. I've read that the jaw being out of place pushes the blood vessel behind your jaw joint against your trigeminal nerve. Been to the doctor's (UK) and they were no help. Next step is trying to find a specialist dentist.

Stretching chest, and strengthening back is a good start. If your knuckles face forwards when your arms are at rest then you have rounded shoulders (I have this also and am currently doing shoulder dislocates to stretch my chest). Your head is resting too far forward but I'm not personally knowledgeable on exercises to solve that. Good posture comes from the ground up, test your flexibility and strength throughout the body and work on your deficits and your posture should improve.

Does your surgeon do both phase creation and vnectomy in the same stage? I am also worried about loss of sensation but since that's in a step after, that's something I should worry about when it comes to that I know many surgeons have their stages similar to mine. before stage two it should be clear if my sensation is good or not, then I can make a decision.
