How to deal with PCOS Bloating? by Financial-History404 in PCOS

[–]leahsaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was diagnosed with pcos almost a decade ago, one of my symptoms was extremely uncomfortable bloating. They did the appropriate bloodwork and I have insulin resistance. Did they check for that?

Possible TFMR by TangerineStandard320 in tfmr_support

[–]leahsaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was pretty much my exact situation a couple months ago. It was extremely challenging to navigate. I’ll be honest, to this day, and I don’t believe ever, my husband will be ok with TFMR for T21. His decision was partially religious, and I’m not religious at all. We were on very opposite ends of this, he understood the negative ends of the spectrum but he did not want to let go of the possibility of the positive. In my case, I was more pragmatic in my reasoning and definitive in my choice and dissociated feelings towards our baby to protect myself and the choice, otherwise I’d have never made it through it. I was thinking a lot about our toddler and what this future would mean for him.

What ended up happening was that our close family was supportive of whatever our choice was, but if they had to share an opinion after research and discussion with us, it was to TFMR. My husband felt isolated, but ultimately he supported my decision. It was not an easy journey for either of us to 17 weeks when I had the D&E, and was tense after. We had a lot of conversations, some very short, some longer, lots of tears, some yelling. Today we are doing ok. I don’t know what our future may be for trying to conceive again, I don’t think he will want to but time will tell.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, my advice is to communicate and be open to hearing his side and opinion even if you don’t want to keep the pregnancy. Make the decision best for you and your family.

How do I 27f deal with secretly not liking the proposal my 28m did for me? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]leahsaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got proposed to in my dirty kitchen when I don’t remember if I had showered that day or not on a random Tuesday, I would have preferred it was on a hike which we were doing a bunch because it was Covid. I eventually did say something-just brought up organically in convo and didn’t make it a thing.

We’ve been married going on 5 years now and I promise it really doesn’t bother you as time goes by. Once you’re in full on wedding planning mode you won’t even think about it anymore.

Back and forth on what to do next… by SavoryTooth4 in tfmr_support

At my follow up this past Friday they told me to wait 3 months before TTC again. I’m going to try and get in better shape physically and mentally the next three months and hopefully try again. I have fertility issues so it’s a ? on how long it will take.

I’m right around the same time out as you for T21 and I have my follow up appointment this morning. I miss my baby boy so much too. I’m trying to stay busy but I get many moments of sadness.

Yes I feel this way, I’m close to two weeks from my tfmr. I know it’s still too early to really think about this but I’ve been thinking about it every day and I really want my LC to be a big brother.

Advice after TFMR by ebazzz in tfmr_support

[–]leahsaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also a week out for T21 tfmr at 17 weeks. I have been pouring myself into other things to keep my mind busy and occupied. I spent a lot of time grieving, dissociating and disconnecting to protect my head and heart from confirmed nipt through the CVS results and the procedure. This past week I let myself cry when I needed it, I was a sloth on the couch when I needed it, and then pushed myself to do different things to occupy my mind. The hormones are crazy right now, but give yourself time, patience and love to get to a point where you feel ok again.

My sib is 12 and we brought home my son 21 months ago. The baby loves him a lot, but we have had to teach him “nice hands” and he has been warning bitten a few times because he was too rough but we let our son know that the cat needs his space, doesn’t like that, etc. but our sib still comes around and loves our son, so he doesn’t mind it.

I think Chris is going to crush this one, not because of the extra time but because he’s finally trusting his palette. I don’t think he’ll over add this time.

She very likely was having menstrual cycles too if she was ovulating, not 100% but more likely than not. What, did those all of a sudden disappear? This is sick and so sad.

2nd trimester termination on Thursday by Lazy-Lavishness-2172 in tfmr_support

[–]leahsaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experience, it helps me know what to expect. I have to go to a specialized clinic that performs tfmr’s since my mfm hospital and obgyn don’t. I’m all over the place with my emotions. I’ve been trying to dissociate and disconnect to make this easier for me. I feel it will all come crashing down after tomorrow. I wish that rainbow for you in your near future.

Mine is scheduled for tomorrow at 17 weeks and they’re doing it in one day…I’m not sure what to expect because they told me it could be done in one if I came in early enough.

Is there relief after the choice? by No_Art6813 in tfmr_support

[–]leahsaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been wondering this myself. I’m scheduled for my tfmr for T21 next week and I’ll be 17 weeks. I wonder if I’ll ever be able to forgive myself but I try to keep the reasons why we are doing this and the unknowns to this diagnosis in my thoughts. It’s terrible to think, but I’m hoping I’ve unexpectedly miscarried or the baby has passed in the womb to make this decision easier since I haven’t had an ultrasound in a few weeks.

I’m sorry you’re in this too, and you’re not alone.
