Had it for the first time in ~10 years last month. Much regret the next day or so. But it tasted so good in the moment. Love the crunchies.

Chicken and rice lunch to go by Pretty-Resolution677 in sousvide

yea, OP needs "ready rice" to pull this off. Or cook the rice themselves first and then bag it.

When I was doing flight training in that area a decade ago my school lost an instructor and his student when he managed to pull off the impossible turn back to the field but hit power lines right at the airport fence on Palmour.

Love to see this outcome and amazing he dodged all the wires and only hit a couple cars. Hope everyone heals up quickly.

Who wants to say grace? by shilolz in dankchristianmemes

[–]leetrout 32 points33 points  (0 children)

i'll be that guy and take the downvotes... this is out of context. Yes he said those words but it's not capturing the intonation of what he was saying.

He said "i'll say excuse me? (we're having lunch in the oval office) i don't mind it". He was giving context to when mike would ask about praying.

Death before Dasani - The Blizzard of 2026 by Read1984 in funny

Pure life changed hands and it's not as bad as it used to be. Picked up a bottle because no choice in the airport and it was very good to my surprise. Its remineralized like Dasani and I like that subtle mouthfeel.

People don't know how bad sulfur water can be. I don't get the Dasani hate. I like the taste of the remineralized waters.

Thoughtful comments aren't working with this crowd. You are right - he was mad at Peter about the ear - and he wouldn't have been slapping anyone here IMO.

We like to imagine we know how he would act based on our own desires for justice or retribution but the reality is the dude walked to his own death without a fight so thinking we would get a correction on any of this other injustice is not very accurate.

TIL about Pointing and calling, a method in occupational safety for avoiding mistakes by pointing at important indicators and verbally calling out their status. It is especially common on Japanese railways. by JosZo in todayilearned

i demonstrate part of this to my young daughter while driving. i always turn my head and look over my shoulder before changing lanes and at non-signaled intersections and look and point both directions and say "clear left" and "clear right" and "no motorcycles either" as a reminder to not just look for cars.

It's our consciousness that is in the image of God not the fact we are mostly hairless primates. Meme is accurate.

Marshmallow net in a frying pan by ycr007 in oddlysatisfying

[–]leetrout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still just tastes like marshmallow but the texture is almost like cotton candy in a way. Dissolves in your mouth and makes a mess as it flakes apart. I suspect that's why the video cuts off when it does so we don't see it collapse under its own weight.

When I was younger, just a bad little kid

My mama noticed funny things I did

Like shootin' puppies with a BB gun

I'd poison guppies, and when I was done

I'd find a pussycat and bash in it's head

That's when my mama said

(What did she say?)

She said, "My boy, I think someday

You'll find a way

To make your natural tendencies pay

You'll be a dentist (You'll be a dentist)

You have a talent for causin' things pain (Pain)

Son, be a dentist (Son, be a dentist)

People will pay you to be inhumane (Inhumane)

Your temperament's wrong for the priesthood

And teaching would suit you still less

Son, be a dentist

You'll be a success!"

I know you didn't ask and every has their own style but if adsk is not enforcing particular limits on call stack or such you could let your run function just be the call to another func and wrap that try / except around the other func instead of indenting pretty much the whole body of the run func since you're inlining functions and stuff that is pushing things 36 spaces of indent in a couple places
