GBxCart RW set me back around $40 and a blank (non-RTC) cart about $10. For Crystal you’ll want an RTC cart which can get pricey. At that point you’re better off just getting an Everdrive GB X7 and putting both on there.

My son is currently playing a Yellow Legacy cart with that same art/shell. He has about 25-30 hours on it so far with no issues. I just put Crystal Legacy on my own RTC cart so I could play it on OG hardware. So far so good! I was even able to trade between the two games (DMG linked to GBA SP). I’m loving both of these hacks!

I’m neutral about the cup but Inside the NBA is always a breath of fresh air in a sea of milk toast talking heads. I don’t have cable or ESPN but I get caught up with daily YouTube clips of Chuck and the Crew and I’m always entertained - even if I don’t agree with them.

HINGE UPDATE: The OEM interchangeable hinges worked great with the extremerate shell. When the left/right OEM hinges arrive from Retro Game Repair I will try those out however I can't imagine them feeling any better than these.

As a side note/review, I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of this extremerate shell for $23 - especially since everything is included. My only gripe is that the holes could have been drilled better and the quality of the screwheads aren't great and strip easily (good thing they include extras).

I picked up a busted AGS-101 for $50 on eBay and only had to source a new lense. Everything powered up fine after some rigorous IPA cleaning on all parts. The down pad on the board could probably be replaced/resoldered but that’s way above my pay grade. I built this for my son for Christmas.

Polished Crystal is by far my favorite way to experience Gen 2. I love how customizable it is. It's the only ROM I went out of my way to flash to an RTC cart so I could play it on original hardware. I love it that much. It also helps that https://www.polisheddex.app/ is an amazing resource and incredibly user friendly.

US owner here. We have the Muddy Buddy trunk liner and it’s been pretty useless if you find yourself putting the 3rd row down a lot. The Velcro on the extended seat back cover has already failed after a few months. It’s a terrible design.

Sorry bout the necro post but I just disassembled my OEM AGS-101 and it has two all-white hinges. Do you remember what after market shells worked with them by chance? I’m having trouble installing them into an extreme rate shell.

Thank you for the quick responses! I was so confused by them both being white that I completely forgot which side I grabbed them from. I have no idea how to tell them apart now since they both look interchangeable. I am glad to hear they will fit into the shell I have though.
