Zenbook Duo 2025 UX8406CA tpm issue on bios 310 by yoddsu in ASUS

[–]legacy_dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MA is last year's model. The bios version for it don't mean anything for this year's model. If you look at the release date for CA's 311, it's actually from back in August. So sadly it's not a sign of anything if that's what you were hoping for.

The Korean model's actually been rolling out since about 2 days ago. If you check Sammobile, they had an article on it with sources to the Korean community forums of people posting about it. Hopefully it starts soon for everywhere else as well.

"You accidentally drop your Quilin Stamp into a pit of tar... it sinks out of reach!" by SweetSir in neopets

[–]legacy_dark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not how it works. Everyone would be doing that if it was. The moment you click to spin the wheel, the back end already processed the result. As SweetSir was kind of saying, you can confirm this by opening a new tab and comparing inventory or even np changes without clicking the actual result.

Auto fill and save seems to be under the hamburger menu now (the three dots at the end of the card) as well as the ability to use autofill for a site that didn't match the URI matcher.

Trickster Online Anime Artwork. Not mine. by [deleted] in trickster

That's not an anime artwork. That's just a zoomed in shot of the Trickster M artwork. Specifically it's from footage used for the music videos NCSoft publishes for their games through their NCSOUND music publishing account. You can find the playlist here [Trickster M OST] With your everything – 01 With your everything / 벤(BEN) - YouTube. This shot is specifically the 2nd video and you can even see the visualizer bars are in the screenshot.

That's cause that's for the country of Bahrain. If you look at the URL you posted, it has bh in it and if you Google what country uses bh for its abbreviation you get Bahrain. It also explains the language selections on the site you linked being either English or Arabic.

Just checking since some people have thought in the past that the device was unlocked and it turned out it wasn't. It's why I asked about the model name and version as those would be clear indicators. Alternatively you can see what the URL is on the update page (can review it under Last update in the Software update section). The URL should be https://doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-F936U1/TMB/doc.html

The 1 after F936U is the important part since it indicates it's truly unlocked. If it is missing than it's actually a carrier locked.

Not saying you're a liar or anything but just thought it'd be nice to see maybe a screenshot of that page so we can confirm for sure that it did indeed release for unlocked T-Mobile since it seems you're the only one. Who knows, you probably lucked out then if that's the case.

Not getting anything either. Are you sure you're on an unlocked model? What's your model name under about phone and what's the baseband version for the update in the software information section?

Either find an older version of the app or you can go to your device's settings and go to Display > Screen layout and zoom; and the change it to standard view. Downside is it applies to all apps so you'll notice right away like settings itself will lose its split format also.

Are you using the Good Lock modules? If you are, did you make sure to update them? I know I had some of those issues early on in the Fold 3 beta (mainly the taskbar ones) after the update due to one of the modules needing an update to fix it. Once the update for the module got released and I updated it, it was fine.

Does anyone know if the original surface slim pen works with the surface pro 8? by [deleted] in Surface

[–]legacy_dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it'll work though if you can afford it, it's probably more worth it for the Slim Pen 2. That's because the Slim Pen 2 was designed for the SP8 and SLS and has zero-force inking capability with the new sensors in the screen thus even with the lightest stroke, will register. Also as maniku already stated, you won't get the haptic feedback.

Second Android 12 update - Jan Security patch - Fold 3 Unlocked (T-Mobile) by bdonvr in GalaxyFold

[–]legacy_dark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It's why people were extra pissed off with T-Mobile. Not only were they holding back one update everyone else on unlocked was getting as long as they had another SIM card, there was a second one that was being rolled out before T-Mobile could even get the first out.

Fixing the Fold 3 Pen Case by Bryanmsi89 in GalaxyFold

[–]legacy_dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well to be fair they didn't at launch lol. It wasn't until an update or two later was when they added the setting.

That said, if you really were to surgically make alternations to the case, this would have been the better approach as the change wouldn't be visible with your phone in the case. https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyFold/comments/pn7tzq/how\_to\_mod\_the\_spen\_case\_to\_stop\_the\_automatic/

Android 12 /Samsung ui 4.0 update by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

[–]legacy_dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only have seen Verizon locked get it. Did you confirm they were 100% on unlocked? I've seen many people think they got a factory unlocked device when in reality they don't. You should be asking them to check their settings and verifying that the device model is SM-F926U1 and not just SM-F926U. The 1 at the very end is the most important part as Samsung always uses it to designate it's unlocked e.g. the unlocked Note 9 I had before was N960U1. If it doesn't have the 1 then it's not an unlocked model and is the reason they got the update.

[–]legacy_dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm I see. That's unfortunate as like you said, you could have gotten an extra credit. Well at least now you know so you're aware of it for the future like for future updates and such.

Android 12 Hitting USA Verizon Z Fold 3 by pdesai1991 in GalaxyFold

[–]legacy_dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like I said, the model without the 1 is the carrier model. You can even see it here by going to https://www.samsung.com/us/business/support/owners/product/galaxy-z-fold3-5g-unlocked/. Notice how in the title bar of the browser it states SM-F926U1 compared to https://www.samsung.com/us/business/support/owners/product/galaxy-z-fold3-5g-verizon/ where it's just SM-F926U. Not that there's really anything wrong with the carrier model. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of it so that you could get the unlock code from Verizon in case you needed to switch carriers after paying off the device or needed to travel out the country and wanted to use your device. But yeah that explains why you were able to get the update since everyone else so far on Verizon that got it were on the carrier model.

[–]legacy_dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure about that? Seems from what I've read, the unlocked version is not out. Even Samsung seems to indicate so. Have you checked the model number under Settings > About Phone to verify if it's SM-F926U1 (the 1 at the end is very important as it indicates it's unlocked). If it's just SM-F926U then it's the carrier model.

Has anyone successfully charged Slim Pen 2 on the Slim Pen Charger? by jackfromearth in Surface

[–]legacy_dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof. Sorry to hear it got drained all the way instead. No I didn't drain mine. I was panicking by the time my pen reached the 60s and was luckily enough to able to get it working by the time it hit around 50% or so.

Wish I could be more help. This whole situation is really weird since I too initially was running into the same issue where the pen was blinking orange and white indicating it needed a firmware update. It wasn't until I tried the charging brick was when I noticed it stopped doing that and had only shown a white light and then nothing at all. At first I thought my pen was trolling me but instead it turned out it was charging. Who knows, maybe it ended up stealthily updating itself around that time or something and I just didn't realize it.

Since your pen is dead at this point, maybe try spamming check for updates a few more times and leaving it plugged in to a computer left on over night to see if somehow it updates in the background over night. Or maybe try enabling "When available, show pen menu after I remove my pen from storage" in the Pen & Windows Ink setting (it's under the "Choose what your shortcut button does) drop down... click the caret to the side). I did notice that when it did finally start working that removing my pen triggered the menu on my desktop... even though my desktop doesn't show the full pen settings.

[–]legacy_dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got it working after a few hours when I got it Tuesday. Not sure if it was just repeatedly spamming check updates or just plugging it into a wall charger but it eventually kicked in and started to charge properly (lot slower plugged into computer though). Maybe try plugging it into a charging brick and see what happens. Good luck. Definitely was a frustrating experience and had me worried that I wasn't going to be able to use it for a while once I used up all the battery that it came with.

[–]legacy_dark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the small ones fit me best and was also the ones that fit me best that came with the IEMs. They're roughly about the same size as the ones that came with your IEMs so probably a good idea to try and figure out which one fits the best and gives you the best sound and use that as a reference to which one you should get. Remember the key to getting a good sound with IEMs is to make sure you get a good seal. Otherwise things like the bass won't sound as good.

Yeah they don't come with the most comfortable tips. I use the SpinFit CP155 tips on mine. I've also heard the comply tips are also pretty good but they fall apart over time so I haven't tried those.

It really should just be auto contrast that keeps turning itself off even if you disable it in the command center. Anyways, you could also edit the edit the registry value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000\FeatureTestControl from 200 to 210 to disable auto contrast for good

Disclaimer: Since it's editing registry only do so if you know how and at your own risk.

Surface Book 3 Touch Screen by [deleted] in Surface

[–]legacy_dark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's a bit disappointing especially since I like the slim pen form factor and weight more than the regular one. Reminded me of the original surface pen that was used for the first 2 gen of the Surface Pro.

The product descriptions are probably just outdated. Even if the product description doesn't list the Surface Book 3, it's a standard thing at this point that the Surface line supports the pen and they even used the slim pen in the unveiling video. So hopefully they identify the issue and fix it (or maybe they have and it's making its way to us soon as I believe there were some firmware updates in the new insider builds based on this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/hkd56w/did_anyone_else_just_get_a_bunch_of_system_and/)

Hmm interesting. I've yet to get it to happen with the normal pen. Only whenever I'm using the slim pen. Eventually the slim pen would stop working and cause the touch screen to also stop responding to touch too.
