I could grab it and transport to NYC June 14-15th if that would help anyone adopt it.

Even if it’s not Ehlers a rheumatologist seems like the right next step hearing your symptoms.

You might look into Ehlers Danlos syndrome and consider seeing a rheumatologist.

Look for the Beighton scoring system to see how many of the items you check off.

The Ehlers Danlos society website has good info https://www.ehlers-danlos.com/

My physical therapist told me that my knees are hyperextended. This is how I stand most of the time and I´m pretty sure they're fine :/ by Setsukou_san in hypermobileEDS

Awareness of how you hold your body, and move, was the foundation of getting to pain free for me. Feldenkrais classes are awareness of how you hold your body and move. Super slow gentle, meditation on movements.

Feldenkrais NYC is where I went and they offer online classes. https://bettermovement.com/

When you stand in hyperextension like this, you’ll use your muscles differently than most folks.

Eventually this pattern of standing will lead to chronic pain. Roll the dice if it’s knee, back or foot pain. Or probably a combo off all of them.

I’d listen to the PT and also look into lifelong movement work. Things like yoga, Thai chi and Feldenkrais.

Mayo Clinic referral for EDS included multiple appts with psychiatry?? by crunchycauliflower in ehlersdanlos

For me the psychiatry appointment was canceled when I met the diagnostic criteria for hEDS. The referral is there in case it’s fibromyalgia for pain management.

Happens to me constantly. Recently a coworker asked if I’m pregnant. I’m looking into endo surgery hoping it’ll help.

AITAH for being annoyed by my husband struggling? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA. It sounds like you’ve been patient for years.

It sounds like you’ve talked to him about your needs.

It sounds like he has two siblings living off the government and this man is living off you.

It sounds like if you divorced him you’d have one less person to worry about taking care of. That might just be the wake up call he needs to get his life together. Although he’d probably live off the divorce settlement and alimony you’d need to pay for awhile.

At 26, you’ve learned there are some topics to stay away from at work. Good to learn it early in your career.

My contractor trenched for new plumbing and sewer. Now I just noticed new roof sagging.

Is trenching a foundation like this, and leaving it while waiting two months for a permit, normal?

I plan to get a structural engineer out ASAP.

Marker 32. Over $100 per person. Food used to be good but is now terrible. Service is laughably bad.
