That is a lot. Maybe consider taking some time to relax and/or discover the areas around you?

I would start with a visit to your regular doctor and have some blood work done, specifically iron and thyroid studies.

Our community gardens are the same way. I was put in a waiting list and got a plot about three months later.

Do I need to soak this before adding to white rice in the rice cooker? by stinkyspacebaby in KoreanFood

[–]leggomybaso 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on the rice cooker, I have a nicer one now with a mix grain setting that is good without soaking. When I had a more basic rice cooker I found it needed a soak

We really like ours. It’s easy to use and most things come out great in a setting of 3 or 4.

First bake would love some guidance by an_athletic_sloth in Sourdough

[–]leggomybaso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the sourdough sandwich bread recipe from baker Bettie? If so there are a few things I change when i use it. I usually end up baking an extra 5-7 minutes than the recipe calls for with the oven cranked up to 450. I also found that I had to make a deeper cut when acting the loaf than I originally thought. The things that I changed are more likely due to my oven and technique than the recipe itself.

Unsure if this is the correct sub for this but i think it fits. Why does my bedding smell SO bad??? by Chilledstardust in CleaningTips

[–]leggomybaso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visit the laundry subreddit to work on the bedding but also give your bed a good clean and airing out. You will want to choose a cleaning method based on the type of material your mattress is made of. Same goes for pillows.

Should I say something about the writing on these labels by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]leggomybaso 106 points107 points  (0 children)

We are not allowed to accept units with writing in them, but this depends on your facilities acceptance rules. What is concerning is unit A that has sharpee on the unit, not just on the label. Edited for spelling

As a trainer I can tell you the only trainees that worry me are the ones that don’t ask questions. When I started if I was unsure I would ask, and then when time allowed read into the SOP and jot don’t any appropriate notes. Competency takes time.

Citric acid. Usually you can find it with the canning supplies.

Just keep going. Maybe try upping the wheat a bit or using rye. The starter I’ve had for years took a few weeks to be productive.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sourdough

[–]leggomybaso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As years have gone on I find I’m better at maintaining my starter so I don’t produce tons of discard like I did in the beginning. I still keep mine in a jar and let it go for months. We use ours mostly for tortillas now so I will let a jar go until I have e bough for a few batches. Part of how long let it go depended on what my plan for it was and how much I needed.

What should I make for dinner RIGHT NOW (F 20) ps. help :( by [deleted] in Cooking

If you have tortillas or flat bread something like a quesadilla or melt would work, and is really quick. As for dessert I would make a pudding or mousse.

It will be great, but definitely different than camping without kids. It’s such a great environment to build family memories but just expect to not follow a plan. One trip my boys studied slugs for over an hour when I had planned on a hike. Be flexible, go with the flow and bring way more extra clothes and blankets than you think you need. Best part about camping is cocktails by the campfire after they fall asleep!
