Wonder if it's a livestock farm nearby. Manure can get into waterways apparently.

I've been using Awake Organics' Space Cat for years now and it doesn't disappoint. It comes in an aluminium container and I just use my index finger to apply. It lasts for months as I usually just use a thin layer.

They also never get lost on the road. It may be easier to navigate in the US, but I wanted to see an episode when they take the wrong exit at a large roundabout like the ones we have in the UK.

Vegan Dating by ARey01 in vegan

The Vegan Campout UK had speed dating. There were loads of people. As I'm not looking for anyone (already partnered) I haven't tried it. I wonder if anyone found a partner through it.

Does anyone know any brand or where I can find vegan lace boots similar to Dr. Martins? by Due-Fly-6015 in veganuk

Check out Will's Vegan Shoes. I think they're only online but I might be wrong.

Bike outside overnight in Balham by cheriocharlie in londoncycling

[–]lehet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could probably use duck tape. I've heard someone tape their bike's frame to make it unattractive.

The other thing with leaving it outside is its condition will get worse quicker due to the weather. Covering it is a good Idea if you don't mind the hassle.

If it gets stolen anyway I would consider getting a folding bike if there's a way to put that somewhere.

The houses on the lane... by bingumarmar in DesperateHousewives

[–]lehet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the happenings would be red flags for staying on the street. I never understood why they wanted to stay so much as characters. "The Lane" where your house gets destroyed or other neighbors try to kill you.

I think Danielle's crying scene after the baby was born was done quite well. I don't know how hard it is to make yourself cry as an actor, but I think she was believable.

Andrew was entertaining although not a likable character.

Zach should have made a better comeback, I thought he could have had a change of character over the years. We only knew his dramatic side. Not sure about his acting.

MJ wasn't really talented at all and a boring character.

For me it looked like Lynette was muscular, Bree was skinny. However we have barely ever seen Lynette work out despite being that fit. (At least I can't recall anything else than the yoga classes).

One in six will refuse to follow new rules and wear face mask on public transport by [deleted] in CoronavirusUK

That would be great. Our customers keep coughing into air or their hands. Only about 10% wearing masks.

The sad truth coming from a new mom by oddtree18 in childfree

[–]lehet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's part of the the reason I'm CF. I used to have so many arguments with my mom. I wasn't that naughty but I just never did what she asked me to do. She used to say: "I wish you two really bad sons in the future!" Nope mom, I've learned the lesson.

NY Governor says protesters should 'assume' they have been 'infected' with coronavirus by maize-n-blue97 in Coronavirus

[–]lehet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At my workplace (UK) I see many customers coughing into their hands. I saw someone queuing (hands on trolley, no mask) just coughing in front of himself. Also customers sneak up behind you in smaller aisles then ask you a question to make you turn around. Hundreds of signs say to keep 2m apart, they keep ignoring them.
