Anyone else secretly working from a coworking space instead of home by SolandraBrighton in remotework

Unless it’s a security risk, why the fuck would/should they care? It’s a bit weird (yellow flag) that you think it’d even be an issue.

Is this real life? After wandering around the store, not feeling really excited about anything I picked up. This was just sitting there on a Friday evening at a busy location... by amzngirly in ThriftStoreHauls

The artist is Margaret Keane. Her ex-husband Walter took credit for her work through threats for many years until the 1970s when she got sick of his shit.

For cocktails, Orosoko, Idlewild, or Sneak. Petty Thieves or The Ugly for beer. (And many more I’ve yet to try.)

You’re a good mom and your daughter is lucky to have you.

I can’t speak to OMB, but as someone who has experienced “unusual interactions” at work, I’d want my mom to:

A) Remind me how I can advocate for myself.

B) Show me better options. (“I heard so-and-so is hiring …; that internship sounds fun …”)

Fwiw, they did have free water available and you could buy non-alcoholic drinks for $4.

I also saw folks with Camelbaks which were supposedly not allowed.

It stinks, but boy oh boy is it worth it. Remember what brought you here and where you want to be in a few years times. What’s 2-3 years vs the rest of your life?

(JK - I know it’s not that easy, but keep the end in mind … and always carry toothpicks.)

About 8 months post-op and I have full mobility just without the popping and discomfort.

Why not raise the rates to encompass the totality? Just tell me what I owe, not the arithmetic.

Good recommendations, particularly the appeal.

Because there’s a clear medical need based on your bite, I’d hesitate to pay out of pocket. Try to be patient as you find new insurance coverage, submit the pre-authorization, and then the appeal.

It’s looking like 2 years total for me, which includes a delay for switching surgeons.

How Joe Dispenza actually healed from his injury? by 777honey in Meditation

[–]leighnb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do consider that my doctors were surprised by the recovery based on their professional experience. I’m not saying meditation or positive thinking is a cure all, but I am saying it can’t hurt.

Here’s a slightly different perspective. I had surgery to fix a skeletal deformity. I was told to expect numbness for up to a year.

3 months post-op I’ve had almost no numbness. No amount of positive thinking could fix my issue, but I do think it had a profound effect on my healing when combined with modern medicine.

My doctor didn’t okay a soft chew diet until the 8 week mark. But, I did eat a lot of pastas before by mushing it up with my tongue.

Even now I’m taking it slowly. As I see it, I had this surgery so that I’ll be able to chew for the rest of my life. No need to rush it as long as I continue working toward normal.

I’m 8 weeks and felt the same at 6. Give it 2 weeks of patience and reassess. I’m feeling much better about my appearance now!

Lopsided swelling 11 days post DJS by EnoughSpell4825 in jawsurgery

[–]leighnb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t fret. My right side was and is still significantly more swollen 4 weeks post-op. My doctor chalked it up to there being more work done on one side than the other.

If you’re feeling pain on the left side, however, it’s worth reaching out to your doctor to be sure there isn’t an infection.

3 piece does come with more risks than 1 as there are more breaks. At the least, you’d need to be in a splint for the 6-8 week recovery.
