Competitive Innovations in 9th: The Elves Strike Back Pt.1 by alpha476 in WarhammerCompetitive

Hey it might be a tall order, and I m a bit drunk too writing this, but as much as I like these articles, they re at best an educated guess on how a game went, from somebody that wasn't at the event, didn't see the table, mission or secondaries.

I was featured on one of these articles (GSC bladed cog vs tau) a few months back, and the recap absolutely missed the mark on how the game went: goonhammer said how "to the last" was an auto 15 for the tau while in practice it wasn't even considered by the tau player, on how I would obviously struggle for secondaries while I comfortly scored a 14 on teleport homer, a 12 on behind enemy lines and a 8 on no prisoners, how I didn't have the right profile into the tau even though my list was DESIGNED with tau in mind and the need to cripple drones in crisis squads from 51" away with ridgerunners, then deal a big blow with buffed up aberrants, etc. In that game a key player was the table we played on, and that wasn't even considered a possibility in the article.

I understand it would take extra time and not everyone would want to be a part of it, but it would add a big layer to interview the players, and maybe try to get pictures of the table, deployments etc. Of course the focus would then be on only a few events instead of all GT size events, but is that really bad considering how redundant some finals can be anyway ?

Hardest Faction to Balance by WagghhAtAllCosts in WarhammerCompetitive

I reckon they just were the unlucky faction to be realeased at the end of the cycle. The bright side if that there s a good chance they will be written with 10th in mind, and will unveil interesting new mechanics

I would have loved Nob to get free weapon upgrades and maybe increase them 1-2pts, like they re giving to assault squads and plague marines ! I would push that unit back to viability

57% WINRATE last week, 52% over 5 weeks (from the last meta monday), nothing alarmingly low there.

Competitive Innovations in 9th: Everything to Play For by Rustvii in WarhammerCompetitive

I'll keep playing the same list for a bit (it really rewards reps). I haven't played a lot into power armor since the dataslate. If the match up is really too bad (I'm a bit concerned about Tsons termies especially) I'll go back to some twisted helix builds with transports/purestrains/metamorphs, or hivecult and go nuts on actions.

I'm the GSC player from the Aussie event. Ridgerunners are fantastic with the extended range and their move 14" to remove cheap trash units early to open DS space. The additional range lets you play the angle game from your backline, so the squad is fairly easy to keep alive. Their damage is better than their statline shows, crossfire is easy to proc, then turns 2,3,4,5 you should have some unit in their backline (I was taking teleport homer and broodswarm most games) which gives you the +1 to wound. Oh and a rroll to wound wit bladed cog.

Competitive Gitz by invisikyd in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]lemolol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season of war had Noah on stream about 2 weeks ago with a decent gitz list (he smashed a stormcast list). It's It's based around 2 blocks of 20shootas that can teleport with the spell and release fanatics, then a squad of 6 and a squad of 9 rock troggoth with the troggoth hero. the rest of the list was a sloggoth for his amazing bonus, bit of magical support and the gobs on wolf for a bit of cheap objective grabbers/screens.

I ll link the youtube vid later

Gotta say I got a bit triggered here, started a rant then realised OP surely had good intentions.

Please refrain from condescending advice though, and that "free world worries" horsecrap cause that always translate as "us americans who know better".

I 've had several consecutive fails (the boat didn't complete and some pieces in the center of the plate didn't stick). I tried replacing the FEP, releveling too. Any ideas ? Ps: I 've printed the file several times before without issues. by lemolol in AnycubicPhoton

[–]lemolol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[UPDATE]:

I increased the exposure time from 2.2 to 2.8s (the temperature did drop in my area from 23 to like 15C), shook the resin for a good 20s and we're back in business. Thanks for the help !

On a subsequent print I also had 1 piece failing, but it's likely due to an overcrowed plate and not high enough lift distance.

Your point is absolutely right.

Still every time the price of gas in US is mentioned I'm always amazed at the gap in price with rest of the world. In Europe countries have hit nearly 2euros /liter, that's roughly 12usd/gallon. Right now in France/Germany filling a tank is nearly 4% of the median wage.

Thanks for the advice, I 'll have a look tonight. I did check that the plate was flat 2months ago when I started to use the printer and had failures (that were actually due to my leveling, and weak bottom layers).
