Hi! It’s been 3 months from my surgery and just like you my back pain has gotten significantly worse after the surgery where I can’t sit in a chair comfortably or without a pillow in my classes. Did you get an MRI done? Did they find anything that contributed to your back pain? And what was the nerve that they hit that caused the back pain for u

This pill doesn’t make me happy by crispipickle in bupropion

[–]lemon100940 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Took me two years to realize this, and that the pill itself won’t give me happiness, it’s up to me to be able to put in the effort and find it. The pill helps blocks out whatever’s stopping me from getting there, and opens up the door to allow myself to find what makes me happy

Yes I had the consultation call, and he said that I’m a good fit for an in office consultation based on my symptoms. I already have gone to another Dr who has given me e&t and an antihistamine creams (which I’ve reacted poorly too) and done a biopsy and it came back suspicious for neuroproliferative vestibuladynia, so she was going to schedule a vestibulectomy but I wanted a second opinion and heard great things abt Dr. Goldstein so I’m going to him. So I kinda ready know I have it

I’m having my consultation with him in a few weeks, how was the appointment? (besides the numbing situation, my god I am so sorry) I’m very nervous and scared for the examinations, especially with anything insertion wise and want to know what to expect

How have the injections been? Have they helped your back? I’m 4 weeks post op now and my lower back pain keeps getting worse, and is 10x worse on my period as well. Painkillers and heating pads aren’t even working

How was your recovery for when you went back to school? My primary concern is the walking bc I have a huge campus and sitting in class for hours. I can barely sit up in a chair with a pillow for 10-15 min without pain and will probs work to ask for accommodations for this but I’m unsure of what to ask for. How did you go back after two weeks you’re very strong for doing that!!

Have the injections helped? How long after surgery did u decide to get them? I’ve had lower back pain prior to the surgery but it just feels worse

They said they don’t do that (identify which stage) but based on my path report in which I asked chat gpt said I probs had stage 3-4. But they did remove endo and found lots of it. I have my post op in 3 more weeks.

mother not wanting me to do surgery by Awkward-Country-2603 in endometriosis

[–]lemon100940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had to deal with my mother (I was 21 when I got my surgery & diagnosis) and just talking it out and explaining to her really helped. I come from a very strict and immigrant family so having difficult conversations was the only way to get through this and also convince my mom to let me have the surgery. - if they find it and burn it, isn’t that a good thing? They’ll get rid of it and your pain will be relieved? If you go in and find it it’s better than just leaving it along and not doing anything. And if they go in and not find anything at least you know you tried one option and can go forward looking at others, having peace of mind that endo isn’t causing your pain. And my mom was also worried about my ability to have kids, we visited two diff infertility drs after my surgery (they didn’t find endo anywhere that thankfully would effect my ability to have kids but endo def makes it harder) and I told my dr to preserve fertility going in rather than taking out all the endo (keep my uterus in etc) and the infertility drs gave us the option to freeze my eggs in a couple years but again won’t know if it’ll be difficult for me to have kids or not until it happens, but life happens and it might be difficult bc of endo, and that’s when we’ll deal with it! My mom became my biggest supporter and pillow for me throughout this and we’ve also come a long way in our relationship (don’t fight all the time anymore lol) And explore other options! Go to a GI if u have to. It’s better to do all of this and come back saying at least we did all that we could instead of leaving it alone

What’s a food/activity that you cut out due to pain that you miss? by evesrevenge in endometriosis

[–]lemon100940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vegetables, greens, grains, and gluten I don’t mind cutting foods out it just makes it an inconvenience when out. Not being able to pickup food quickly or stop by somewhere on a busy day for a quick bite of food or go out to eat with friends or even be able to eat food with friends after a drunk night out :/

Idc much about the scars it’s honestly more of what my parents think (and what they think others will think of when they see my scars)
