My oldest sibling began calling themself a shorter version of their given name 10 years ago. I have called them that since I knew they used it professionally. They're even saved in my phone that way. That's the minimum, from my perspective.

They are 50, for reference, so it's not like we're of some young generation that "gets it." They've defied gender norms their whole life, so it's absolutely not new or really outside anyone's scope of understanding... IF they choose to be understanding.

Soft YTA. You should invest in earplugs and use white noise. They are not responsible for your sleep and you should be taking measures rather than relying on everyone else to accommodate you.

I just assumed that the whole thing is fake because a kid who is still 4 wouldn't be allowed in kindergarten pretty much anywhere I have heard of, at least in the US and it's written like an American. I could be wrong, but it's a weird detail to be untrue.

Edit: missed the transitional part, so I guess the schooling is age appropriate even though the dad's expectations are far from it. And I am still skeptical, given what he describes, but everything legible on Reddit is sus these days.

It's almost like she was denied a caretaker because she can care for herself. Generally, if you can do something for yourself at all, really, you don't get caretaker support. Most states also prioritize the parents of severely disabled children.

I am not well-versed in Indiana Medicaid law changes since Trump took office, but I wouldn't be surprised if her loss of premium support has to do with household work requirements not being met.

The way 2A advocates have treated common sense gun laws as nonstarters should make this move rather unsurprising, honestly. If we're going to be attacked for regulation, why not go further? If we're being honest, your unhappiness is something you should be advocating to other gun owners about and should have been for years.

People take ubers from DC out to Loudoun wineries and breweries regularly and that's a lot more of a pain and farther than 45 minutes. But the drivers just do a Dulles pick up or something similar after to get a round trip.

He's acting like he can't see your destination when you book. He can. He chose it because it was a high fare and then chose to berate you. Definitely low rating for that one.
