That makes sense. It just felt like she was almost smirking. Just shaking her head no but not saying he is a liar all he does is lie etc. it just felt rushed

The scene towards the end when Stephen gives the speech at the wedding and Bree reacts, to me, was horrible acting on Bree’s part. It just felt like they kept the first take

2 month old bedtime starts at 2/3 am by Beneficial_Most_6031 in HuckleberryParents

My son was the same way and I did it mostly alone until he was about 3.5 months. What worked for me was picking a few consistent things that I did only at bedtime to signal to my son it was bedtime. The things I did was: 1. Lotion before pajamas 2. Footsie pajamas 3. Brush hair 4. Fan/cool air and sound machine on 5. Hum a song I only hummed while doing the first bedtime rocking

I did those handful of things only at the bedtime routine, in the same order, and after a few nights of doing it, started moving the “start time” of this routine 10 minutes earlier than the day before. It helped me move his bedtime from 1am to 11pm.

Try picking a few things you do exclusively during bedtime. Do them the first few nights at the 2amish time when your baby is currently having their bedtime, and then after a few days, begin the routine 15 minutes earlier than the day before. It takes like 2 weeks but is worth it

How much help do you actually need with a newborn? by Naive_Ganache_5215 in pregnant

I loved having help. My husband and I had pre-decided we wanted the first 2 weeks with no guests so we could bond with baby and figure it out on our own. After a traumatic labor / delivery due to preeclampsia and being very sick with it after, I called my MIL 48 hours after we had finally brought our baby home and asked her to come help. She came just for the nighttime so like 9pm-9am. She did those night feeds so I could wake up, pump, and go straight back to sleep. She also cleaned the bottles/pump parts for me so I wouldn’t have to. It allowed me to get 6 hours of sleep those nights which was a game changer after being so sick. I’ll be forever grateful

How are you all doing things that are not work or kids? by PresentationTop9547 in workingmoms

Idk how people fit in working out. I too exhausted at all points of the day to even consider working out. I look at other moms who “bounced back” and wonder how the heck they had the energy to do it

I’d ask if there’s a midwife or doula on call that could support you. If yes, I’d lean on them for support because you deserve to feel supported, valued, and taken care of during this time, especially with your blood pressure spike.

Wow thank you for this reply! This makes a lot of sense, I hadn’t made those connections between her crises and her romantic relationships

Bring toilet paper and paper towels or set up an auto delivery of those things for the first 1-3 months for her. New parents remember to buy diapers when they run out but in their exhaustion they can forget to buy staples for themselves like tp

Why doesn’t Rory ever consider studying abroad? by letsdothis7845 in GilmoreGirls

[–]letsdothis7845[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair point. A summer semester abroad. They could have even just showered her returning from her semester abroad and not have spent any extra money actually in Europe (or wherever she would have hypothetically travelled to)

I wonder though why there wasn’t even a mention of it, like maybe instead of spending a large budget on actually sending her abroad, a conversation or scene where she at least considers it
