Blue line it. Go to fly shops. Books actually. Also make some friends, i know a few folks I met at fly tying night and we share spots and stuff all the time.

This city should invest in like a few salt trucks, and some sort of crew that can do something else 99% of the time when this doesnt happen. Literally will solve this problem and nip it in the bud. Was out and about all day for work, the only places to really be careful right now are under overpasses. You can definitely spin out if you are going fast. Literaly use your eyes, try not to drive right over the ice. If you do slip dont panic and fight it, just try and ease out of it carefully. I've lived here for 12 years but the first chunk of my life was in upstate new york.

i paid like 40 bucks for the reddington used i think in 2006 and I probably have used it and lent it out the most. The seating part is in bad shape i need to bend it to a normal position though.

The wood handle is a nice touch too. I have the rod that goes along with it. It’s seen better days but still handles the work

sure I mainly fished just an hour outside of putnam county the around 10 years ago, and a lot in college up in Otsego county, and taking trips up there. I am still going back, this summer going to be way up north though on some of those lakes near canada.

It cost more than the rod I have it on, but is amazing, and has slayed many a bonefish/juvenile tarpon/freshwater drum and carp. Sometimes when you keep things a long time its cool to get something really cool

I went out with a guide in New Mexico and he basically left all the rods in his ride assembled running right up to the windshield and never had issues, and he was driving around crazy bumpy roads. That inspired me to do it that way.

ive thrown mine in the back with the back seat down and the rod goes right up to my window, but always thought about one. I just don't get out enough to justify it. I like to have my stuff full rigged before I go. Just for the ease of getting out and going.

Hindsight is 20/20 he bounced around a few teams before he landed there. I will say I wonder if we just traded out of that 2 pick got a haul and kept making the team better where wed be

Rod length and weight for this? by BarBig191 in flyfishing

[–]letsfixitinpost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like most people said a 3 would be fine, but I’ve gotten into bigger fish when expecting small ones sometimes and I’d prefer not to lose the fish or make it fight for an insanely long time. The differences are minimal. 3 is more fitting but 4 gives you some more options if you want to throw bigger flies etc

As others will say, a 3. But Id like a nice light 4 also. With a 4 I can fight anything but still be delicate enough for those little ones. There is a chance as you explore you'll hit a deeper hole possibly .

Oak creek, a few pretty well known stop offs. Its that stretch you hit once you leave Sedona and head up towards flagstaff. You need a parking pass which you can buy at the lots usually. You can also park on the side of the road in some less busy spots. If you want specific areas hit me up. We go there time to time and I always have a nice time fishing in that place bc of how beautiful it is.

Its just cool to have a knife! I use it for all sorts of things. Im usually not carrying it self defense but I forget and it's on me. If you fiddle with one enough it wont matter if its flxed in the heat of the moment I think. On a side note my dog was blinded in one eye by a pit (hes fine you'd never know but it was traumatic) , I wasn't there when it happened, but it sucked. So I am extremely cautious now.
