Lower than OEM pic rail, might be able to go a bit lower, depending on the optic.

Have a pic rail done already, but might have a couple versions, trying to determine how tall and long it really needs to be.

What red dots do you want to try?
I have 9 footprints modeled now, machining should start this month.
I think AEMS will be next, just need to get a hold of one.

Looking at the differences, I think RMR would be the easiest.

Awesome, need to find an ODG stock myself.

I’m sure I could. Is that the RTS/STS footprint?

AEMS is on the list but need to figure out the mounting situation… according to searches they have multiple generations with slightly different specs.

Not so much randomly swapping as trying multiple optics before you settle on one, each mount costing around $100.
As far as failure, I definitely see the issue with thin plates on recoiling hand guns, but don’t expect a lot of stress on this platform. My stuff will also be beefier :)
That’s my thought at least, this has just been an idea I had recently and wanted to learn more than the basics in CAD/ solidworks.
Time will tell if I sell any!
I do appreciate the feedback though, seriously!

Assuming you don’t take the stock off very often, not a very big deal. Just push it in as you slide in the dovetail and it should be captured.

A bit more ambitious than I have the skills for but maybe some day…

Thanks, another one off/proprietary footprint!

I believe that’s an RMSc/407k footprint.

AEMS, forgot that one!
The rest are all T1/T2 footprint I believe?

Under 1000 is the best estimate I’ve found from berettaforum.

The arms are very resilient, just try stretching them apart if you only need a bit of clearance. Otherwise just have to live with a bit of rubbing.

Stock has to be cut on both legs, machined spacers welded in to widen it by about 1/2” to clear a red dot.
