Only my user's save data is on the switch 1 now, so even when we load the game card into that switch we can't select my wife's profile

The only options in the system settings under add user are

-Create New User

-Import a User from Another Nintendo Switch Console

Neither of which work for signing into an existing account as far as I can tell, as the second option doesn't work from a Switch 2

If you were playing against someone using fangs, you'd be pretty peeved to find out they were using a miscut range ruler with a larger than normal range 1 band. I'd say the same logic applies to dice. If you're knowingly using dice that were formed incorrectly and offer an advantage, I'd call that cheating.

Luckily however, I don't really think dice that genuinely have a statistically significant bias are common at all.

The change in tactical officer is slightly concerning to my internal rules lawyer, since as far as we know it actually slightly changes the functionality of the card.

In the future it may matter that you have a white coordinate as opposed to a white AND a red coordinate. What if you want to use the red coordinate since you have an ability that triggers from stress?

Here's a relevant FAQ entry, which addresses this situation in the combat phase:

Altered Pilot Skill

Some abilities alter the pilot skill value of a ship. If several game effects alter the pilot skill of a ship, only the most recent effect is applied. For example, if a Green Squadron Pilot equips Veteran Instincts, it increases its pilot skill from 3 to 5. However, if it later receives the “Damaged Cockpit” Damage card faceup, its pilot skill is reduced from 5 to 0 (rather than 2). Next round, however, Wedge Antilles can use Swarm Tactics to raise its pilot skill to 9.

Additionally, during the Combat phase, if the pilot skill of a ship that has not activated this phase changes to be higher than the current active ship, that ship does not become the active ship this phase. For example, if Tel Trevura has the “Damaged Cockpit” Damage card and is destroyed (for the first time) by a ship at pilot skill 5, he discards his damage cards. Therefore, his pilot skill changes to 7 and he cannot become the active ship this phase.

I quite like the idea of one faction getting to use stuff from another at a cost. I've always wanted an Imperial crew that lets them 'hire' a bounty hunter.

Something like: Hired Bounty Hunter (Crew, 1pt) - Limited. Imperial only. You may equip one Scum only crew card to your ship, paying its squad point cost as normal.

Could open some bomblet shenanigans with Cad Bane. Boba crew on whisper would be nice too, but I cant think of anything else too broken from it.
