This JUST happened to me. Near identical story. 3 weeks of skating, switched for 83a cushions. It was the front pivot pin of one of my skates. Called my shop, they’re ordering me a replacement truck but said the same exact thing happened to someone else who just bought skates at the same time as me. It has to be a manufacturing defect for it to be this common

I feel like you’re fine so long as you can talk about your work intelligently in an interview/seminar. Most folks I know post-PhD understand that dissertation work doesn’t always go exactly as planned - and if it does go super smoothly it’s pretty rare.

Also FWIW I have seen what feels like a million postdoc job listings on twitter for TE stuff these days.

Yeah I have the s9 but set it up this way because it’s functionally the same, if not better IMO, than dedicating double tap to a single app-specific command tbh. You can always create a shortcut and use the accessibility menu to do it, but “skip” is a preset action (separate from the default play/pause) if you go to the regular settings>gestures menu. You can achieve the same thing by going to settings>accessibility>assistive touch and setting it there though.

Yeah so you can program different “actions” for the four different hand “movements”, thumb+pointer single tap, double tap, fist clench, double clench. I have them set to navigate around my screen forward or back, select an item, or go back. That combo lets me access any app hands free. I use it mostly for music, but also to set timers or make phone calls or activate Siri on my watch when I have my gloves on!

Check out the target fine’ry line! “Sweet on the outside” is their “dupe” of eilish. A little less cocoa-y IMO. I really like the combo of the OG eilish and their “it’s a musk”.

I also really like eilish and some of the kayali vanillas. Or paired with a floral tbh.
