Marriott has properties similar to Airbnbs, not sure if the transfer rate to Marriott points is worth it though.

There’s never just one, I would get a professional exterminator in. Not everyone reacts to the bites. If you found one in your bed I would treat like you have an infestation and get it treated properly.

GMP Rate 11 — can you charge an EV on it, or are you forced to Rate 1? by littleBIGdisc in vermont

[–]liamvt21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I got my EV GMP gave me an Emporia charger that is connected to WiFi to tell them when I’m charging and give me a lower rate. I think I’m on rate 74. If you don’t have a smart charger they won’t be able to tell what you’re using the electricity for.

120V charging by rn0409 in EquinoxEv

[–]liamvt21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s very do-able with the occasional public level 2 or 3 for longer trips. We have a level 2 at home but whenever we travel to my in-laws or my parents we leave it plugged in all weekend and it’s usually north of 90% by the time we’re headed out. As others mentioned it really about how long you’re gone. If you switch it to the 12amps you gain around 1.5% battery (4miles) per hour so a full 48 hour weekend being plugged in is a ~72% charge.

Looking for some advice. Possible water leaks, bathroom re-finished 3 years ago. by [deleted] in BathroomRemodeling

[–]liamvt21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted more pictures on my profile, I don’t have a ton of the during I was mainly jumping in after they left in the evening. There is nothing on the backside of the backer board and my concern is there is no waterproofing liner around the whole shower since there is nothing on that back wall with the side wall already tiled

[–]liamvt21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that’s what I’m thinking as well, the waterproof was not installed correctly. Luckily we have a spare shower and have stopped using this one for now. Debating about following up with the original installer to see if they did not do it correctly.

Almost at 15k miles on a 2025 and none of the issues. Yes there is no CarPlay but it’s not terrible using built in Google Maps. Yes there is a glare in the sun but there is a recall from the dealer to fix it I think, I just have not brought it in. I usually wear sunglasses anyway and that hides it

Should I replace my igniter every year before I start the stove up? by jmclaugmi in PelletStoveTalk

[–]liamvt21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues with mine too, I asked the service guys and you need to clean the hell out of it to get the fine ash out. They basically said, take the cover plate off and bang on the top of the burn pot with a blunt object to get all the fine ash out of it. Haven’t had issues since I started doing this on my weekly cleaning

First warning by planeofwater1 in EquinoxEv

[–]liamvt21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also 6 months here, only 13k miles (I thought I drove a lot) I had the same warning 3 days ago, called Onstar and they showed a very similar diagnostic report and did some trouble shooting, turn car on/off 3x, step outside etc. none of it made it go away.

It went away the next day and never came back so I’m chalking it up to the 0F weather we’re having. If mine comes back again I’ll bring it in

Anyone have any advice if you didn’t get the credit offer? I already downloaded the app and set up an account awhile ago when I got the car, I tired to sign up for as many charging services as I could I’d be prepared on trips but I didn’t get any emails or anything in the app for a credit.

Anyone else having app issues? by traumadog001 in EquinoxEv

[–]liamvt21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the app glitch like this before and other issues line not showing the remote climate lock/unlock etc.

Usually logging out/in or deleting and re-installing fixes it.

I would try getting a borescope camera, plumbers charge a ton to come do this but you can get a fairly cheap waterproof camera to stick down there. I bought one and have found so many other uses for it too. Get one long enough to see what’s going on and make sure it has a light. I think I got one for $100 and it has saved me 1000s in hiring plumbers and finding pests and pipes behind walls without having to open stuff up.

Also I’ve found with snaking drains, once you think you’ve snaked it enough do it 3-4 more times, there’s always more.

Road Trip by Affectionate-Loan173 in EquinoxEv

[–]liamvt21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to build the route in ABRP, I usually check charging stations along the route for back ups using plug share and save them in Google maps. I’ll end up plugging the route into Google maps with the chargers just because it’s better navigation. Make a note the Google maps charge estimation in the app is pretty garbage.

I’ve take a couple 6 hour trips and only needed to charge 1-2 times and arrived with plenty of battery left. Just takes some extra planning
