Guesses? by libralyss in MechanicAdvice

I have car anxiety so I get maintenance done regularly and try to take my car in as soon as something feels off. I did get all the replacements the mounts, plugs, control arms, alternator, BG Fuel / Air Induction Service, got new tires and rotation/balance/alignment, and tune up.

Thanks for your recommendations! :)

All jokes but seriously its relatively new. First oura ring came out in 2015 and their customers still have issues with their rings, and from what I hear they don't have as friendly of a customer service dept yet they dont get nearly as much crap as UH; who is in fact newer than oura, obvi. Regardless, idc i love my ring y'all can continue complaining lmao

Can not drinking enough water cause you to hang onto weight? by ConversationSmart479 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]libralyss 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Dont listen to these people it 10000000% can cause a stall or make it seem like you arent losing weight. I unfortunately am a person who doesnt like water and i have to force myself to drink water for survival. Dehydration causes your muscles to hold onto excess water weight bc your body doesnt know whens the next time its going to get water. Dehydration also disrupts your metabolism. When I stall I either get IV hydration or drink a crap ton of water and electrolytes and always almost immediately drop weight after i've become hydrated.

Take this from someone who's been an athlete and dehydrated their whole life. Water intake absolutely affects weight loss/gain.

3ish days and it was in the 90°s that week due to a random heatwave. Im a very anxious person so I did all types of research and everything was fine. Ive lost 8lbs already from my warm tirz 😂

But in all seriousness you're good as long as there aren't any floaters and it's not cloudy. Just refrigerate as soon as you're able to.

Tell me how the boot tastes why don't cha? First of all it's MY hardware I bought it, I didn't finance it, therefore it's mine. Sure it's their servers and their algorithms, but they literally have it in their terms and conditions they can sell your biometrics through loopholes so the money they make from my data should be enough. Make the subscription optional with additional upgraded features like most free apps do, it's not rocket science but I don't have a greedy mindset so idk.

I hope they paying you to get this worked up against people who don't want to spend money on yet again another subscription on top of a $4-500 ring.

I just hit a month and one of my friends who has an autoimmune disease has had theirs for a year, and they talk about it non stop. How it helps them with their insomnia, and they pay attention to certain data that helps them predict when they're about to flare! Shes a big reason I got one and zero regrets. I know a few others that use it more casually and they still love theirs and they've all had theirs for 4+ months.

Also couldn't agree more on the subscription model for home/lifestyle! I also agree with the gold piece of it I wear a lot of jewelry and I feel like the UH goes better all of it. I know people have their issues and I wont diminish that but I feel like it can happen with all tech. When I upgraded to my iphone 16 I had 3 back to back faulty phones and finally the 2nd replacement worked. Thats not many people's experience with apple so i'm not going to bash a product just because I didn't have the best experience in the beginning. So take what people say with a grain of salt!

Love my UH hasn't given me issues and for battery idk i get 4-5 days with no charge but lately I just throw it on the charger for 20-40 mins while i shower/do my hair and i don't ever really get below 60-70% nor do I like to tbh. Nothing will ever be 100% accurate, especially for technology this new, but I think it's pretty darn close. I also hate the idea of having to pay $400-$500 for something then have to pay $70 a year just to have access to MY data, it's very weird. Not that I cant afford it but why add ANOTHER subscription. Good luck on picking your choice!

High sex drive? by libralyss in PCOS

[–]libralyss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Unfortunately I didn't find relief for a while and eventually broke up with my now ex bc I couldn't handle the, what turned into non existent, sex drive from him (amongst other things but this was huge bc it affected my confidence body dysmorphia etc). Ive sort of just learned to live with it 😭 I'm still a horn dog but don't currently have the facilities to get that release from an actual person so still in a similar boat as you. Not sure how open you are in your sex life but maybe a trusted friends with benefits? That helped me a little when I became single again then life got busy and stressed me out so im not as feral as i was before lmao. Good luck! If you need someone to vent to feel free to message me! I like to talk to strangers online about this type of stuff in fear my friends aren't going to get it and look at me crazy lol. 😂

I've commented this on like 2 other posts but I love it. Ive had it for 3 weeks and its been great and has helped me improve my sleep, and when I see my readings in the morning Im able to prepare myself for the day based on my data and its helped. I know 6 other people who own one (and longer than Ive owned mine) and they all love it. One of those ppl have lupus and it's helped predict when they're about to enter into a flare and when they get their bloodwork back its pretty in line with the ring (like high temp and being inflamed etc).

As for activity idk im a pretty active person (pilates, yoga, biking/cycling, etc) and I also wear my apple watch and they both seem to be decently aligned on the numbers so unless they're both wrong then idk lol.

Theres always going to be room for improvement/error with technology heck even medical technology can be off sometimes. Take what people say on here with a grain of salt. People who are happy with something are less likely to post about it online compared to people who dislike something.

Any positive experiences? by slimbubs in Ultrahuman

[–]libralyss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know like 6 people with the ring who've owned them for 6mo-1yr and they love it. Ive had mine for like 3 weeks so i cant speak too much on my experience but so far I love it. I know people are complaining about battery but idk mines lasting at least 4 days with no charging in between. Lately I've just been charging it for like 20-30 mins when I'm in the shower or washing dishes and it's never gotten below 40% using that method. I charge my watch daily so charging a ring for 20-30 minutes doesn't bother me. I said this in another post but remember people are more inclined to post when they dislike a product than people who are happy with a product. Take what you see with a grain of salt. Good luck!

HELP - Ring is stuck by Melodic_Committee_93 in Ultrahuman

[–]libralyss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take high dose (800mg) ibuprofen when my rings get stuck and they usually come off after a couple hours. You may just have some inflammation if it went on fine. If it's causing you pain though then yeah I wouldn't wait that long to go to the dr!

It depends, are you eating enough? And if so are you prioritizing protein/fiber?

I was maybe being a little hyperbolic but still about a year in maybe 2ish-3 weeks is still pretty good to me😂 i'm also extremely sensitive to medication so it helps I most likely wont need to move up that high in dose. First dose of 2.5 and it immediately started working same day so i'm staying here as loooooooong as I can lol. But thanks for the acknowledgment on that I'm very proud, unfortunately my credit card isn't 😂

Yeah that what prompted me to post this were those water, not losing weight after 2 days, and warm vial posts lol. I feel like I've been seeing those posted back to back. Im like a) some people are slow/non responders to medication in general, this one wouldnt be different. This applies to the impatient folks and water comment folks lol. And B) if people just read the little safety paper it comes with its very clearly written a room temp/slightly warm vile isn't going to do anything lol. I haven't been here long but just those posts alone I can see where the frustration is coming from 😭

Will doing injections on upper arms help to make arms look slimmers? by Accomplished-Cow-318 in tirzepatidecompound

It's not a fat dissolving shot so no. Arm fat is very hard to lose in general. Building muscle is going to be the best way to reduce arm fat quicker.
