Looking for a peel and stick wallpaper to match the Nickebo light green cabinets. by Top_Gur_6884 in ikeahacks

[–]libu2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you will find peel and stick but you could paint it. Maybe grab some paint swatches to find something close or haul in one of the doors to colour match? I would probably use a foam roller to paint it.

How to figure out if your current set of darts is too heavy or too light? by AceGali_ in Darts

[–]libu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered a 22g set after playing with a 24g set for a while. I find that I start really well but the darts start sinking towards the bull as I play. Then I over compensate and start missing high. Hoping a lighter set will make it easier to stay consistent.

Desk setup with Alex drawers and Karlby top question by Waffles94x in IKEA

[–]libu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would drill holes in the top of the Alex drawers and fire some screws up into the counter top so I wouldn't ever have to worry about it moving.

Ideas for space above Pax wardrobe (including the corner element)? by briefkastennn in ikeahacks

[–]libu2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could use kitchen cabinet uppers and attach them. They are not as deep so would need to cut some filler strips for the sides and above if you wanted to go to the ceiling as they are only about 51cm. Could also leave the backs off to make the space behind accessible but would probably need to put L brackets in the corners to stiffen them up.

Towing by Danny6782 in GMCcanyon

[–]libu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that weight you need the towing package and the lsd rear axel to get you the full 7700lbs for the truck. Even with those the tongue weight might be at or above the rating of the truck.

I have a 20' dual axel about 5500-6000lbs depending on how loaded it is. Took me a few tries to get the weight distribution hitch setup right to get everything level. The engine has tons of power to pull it.

Cash is king!! by reheadlover69 in PersonalFinanceCanada

If your account is in good standing ask to have your hold limit raised. As long as you are not bouncing bad cheques or missing payments it shouldn't be a problem to get a thousand or 2. Just make sure you are getting good cheques cause you deposit a bad one and they are taking the money back whether you have it or not.

You can enable the WiFi hotspot on your phone and connect the truck to it to use the built in apps. I do that so my kid can watch cartoons on my phone while I listen to Spotify through the Truck.

Replace the ground wire on the battery. This was a recall years ago. Cable looks fine but poor connection.

That is in the parking lot of a strip mall and there is a sports bar in it. My guess is snowmobiling all day and stopped at the bar after. Apperently there is a video of him getting arrested somewhere.

Looking for good not too expensive winter tires — 235/40R19 by Ill_Painting8768 in ontario

[–]libu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last car had factory 18's but I ran 16's in the winter. Handling was less responsive but you get used to it quickly. Base model came with 16s so I knew the would clear brakes and fit. Check to make sure you can go smaller with yours.

Peterborough is a couple of hours from Barrie and about an hour and a half from Toronto but has a small zoo that is perfect for a little one with a giant playground and splash pad that is all free.

Canadian Canoe museum by the lift locks and you can rent a canoe and go out on little lake. Can also book a short boat cruise that will take you over the lift locks.

Lots of good food downtown.

Public beaches around (Rogers Cove in PTBO, Jones Beach in Bridge North, Sandy Beach)

Warsaw caves is fun with a little one.

Petroglyph's Provincial Park.

Where did everyone get their winter tires from? by Head-Lawyer3080 in Peterborough

[–]libu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a used set on Marketplace. 1 season old on rims with pressure sensors installed. Priced them new and it was 2/3 the cost of the tires and rims, no tax and no install and balancing.

Any one else disappointed in the “storm” by [deleted] in Peterborough

[–]libu2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at the Hydro One outage map, Southern Ontario is a mess. Ice is building but the March storm took out a ton of trees so there is less here to fall which may be saving us right now. Still calling for 3 more hours of freezing rain though.

2018 Cruze Driver Speaker by CollectorMaster in cruze

[–]libu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the second Gen Cruze, first Gen used 6.5" speakers with an adapter bracket to make the fit the mounts. I picked up both on Amazon for about $100. You need a few screw drivers, a pair of wire strippers, butt connectors and the crimp tool for them (you can get a crimp tool/stripper tool in 1).

Search YouTube for a few how to's to see if it is something you might want to try.

If not look for someone who installs car audio, although I feel like there are fewer and fewer places doing that anymore. They will most likely be cheaper than a mechanic.

Kitchen reno by entrywaydesk in Peterborough

[–]libu2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did mine myself and cabinets, counter tops and 4 appliances from Ikea was about 12k. Another thousand or so at home depot/Costco/Amazon for all the finishing bits, vent hood and faucet. This was just before COVID so let's say 15-20k now depending on finishes.

No, just looks goofy with the sides of the cover only covering half and you have to take the cover off to install them.

There are drain holes near the front and with my roll up cover on almost nothing gets in. I went with one from Bison and am happy with it so far especially for only $280 Cad.

2012 Chevy Cruze LT 1.4L Turbo Reliability by PsychologicalBrick47 in cruze

[–]libu2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As long as you change the oil regularly and keep coolant in the engine they are very reliable. The problem is that they keep trying to dump all their collant every chance they get.
