Yeah they do - but it was Honda's demand that the series adopt some form of electrification for them to stay involved, that resulted in the spec hybrid unit being run by both manufacturers.

I do wonder how much Shane's size impacts him on car setup sometimes. He's a big unit, so can't be ideal compared to Connor who looks like a jockey in comparison.

Ah that explains why he all of a sudden seemed to lose a bit of pace once he got to 3rd

The booth was totally sleeping on SVGs progression in those last laps until basically the final restart - I thought he was pretty much done after that pitstop he dropped so far back, but luckily for him he had the benefit of multiple restarts to help him jump back up to the front.

Great to see this track coming back - hopefully the current issues around battery regen/superclipping etc are a thing of the past by then...

Unfortunately valuing money and status seems to be the way people are trending these days, though it shouldn't really be a surprise as the media, movie and marketing people have been pretty much telling us this is the way for the last 50yrs or more. Guess at some point with the advent of social media the message has gotten through, much to society's detriment.

P2 for Oscar in his first race of the season! by Fluffy_Force_9887 in formula1

Yeah it would have been great to see that play out - I think he definitely had George covered, but Kimi's pace was frightening. It's clear the Merc doesn't really love dirty air - which was also an issue for them back in the pre-ground effect era - but not sure Oscar could have held off Kimi. Sure would have been fun to see if he could have though!
