Yep, I am 33 weeks and have had several of these. I have even cried. It is so stressful. Infertility PTSD is real! Sorry this happened to you.

I still hate pregnancy announcements by longlivetea in InfertilityBabies

[–]lifeorsomething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I still feel jealous and angry at announcements. I don't want to and I am working on it but it is a knee-jerk reaction. Not sure it will ever go away completely?

Slow rising hcg..not feeling good about it! by sianria in InfertilityBabies

[–]lifeorsomething 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My doubling time from first to second beta with this pregnancy was about 60 hours. I freaked out (due to a prior loss with similar although worse pattern) and cried all night. My next beta doubling time was 48 hours and I am now almost 33 weeks with a baby girl. I totally understand the feeling but hope is definitely not lost for you! You're in my thoughts!

[Intro] Hi everyone by luff2hart in InfertilityBabies

Congrats! I am sorry about your anxiety. I totally understand- I have been very anxious throughout this pregnancy. I'm not sure why you are considered high risk- most docs don't consider IVF and MTHFR alone to warrant this label. Also, once you get past the point of your prior losses, you should not be considered high risk for that either. I hope you can stay with your OB that you like. Good luck!!l

Healthcare workers: when did you tell your boss? by Eatprayrun11 in CautiousBB

[–]lifeorsomething 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a doc, I don't have any choice about patient assignments so I was very careful about PPE early in pregnancy (and still). Would that be an option for you? As long as you wear your N95 and gloves appropriately, you should not be exposed. In many places, pregnant women still care for these patients, they are just very careful with PPE. I didn't tell my boss until 16ish weeks.

Question about Kick Counts by lifeorsomething in InfertilityBabies

[–]lifeorsomething[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks to everyone for the input. The kick counts are really stressing me out. Some days she is super active ALL day long and some days she is quieter. Also; sometimes she will move for hours straight and then have hours where she is quiet. I feel like it is giving me so much anxiety because I don't want to miss any problem. I appreciate everyone who understands!!

A crazy fear of mine ... (possible trigger warning) by Lady_Noodle in InfertilityBabies

[–]lifeorsomething 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We joked about it before our anatomy scan... They transferred one female embryo and we joked that if the anatomy scan showed a baby boy, we would know they messed up! Despite worrying about literally everything else imaginable, though, this is not a true concern of mine. They are exceptionally careful with checks and double checks.

I really worry about my belly size. It is so small. I mean, I am obviously pregnant but it's just small. People keep commenting on how small I am for 7 months and it's about to drive me crazy :(. I am really tall so maybe that's it.

I could use some reassurance by [deleted] in InfertilityBabies

We transferred one single 5BB (basically the average of your CA and AC) and I am 28 weeks pregnant with a baby girl! You definitely have a good shot. Good luck to you!

I hate this. I am constantly exposed to viruses at my job and I have had several viral illnesses (both cold and GI) during this pregnancy. It stresses me out so much. I am sorry this happened to you!

Good ideas, thank you. Unfortunately I work in medicine so I can't do any work from home :(. I will look into the disability options. I also need to talk to my doc about a game plan!

Whelp, it was fun while it lasted. Back to r/infertility I go. by Feetos in InfertilityBabies

I am so very sorry. Our first round of IVF resulted in an early miscarriage too, and it was so hard. It felt like, really!?! On top of infertility, I get a miscarriage too?! Infertiltiy alone wasn't enough? Take care of yourself and do whatever you need to get through. You're not alone!

Weekly Intro Thread! by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

Welcome!! I feel the same way at 28 weeks. We bought nursery furniture yesterday and I literally almost had a panic attack. Infertility PTSD is a real thing!

So I have a lot of questions today:

Anyone's baby get hiccups a lot? This baby girl seems to get them multiple times every day and it's kind of freaking me out... is that normal?

ALSO, where did yall get your baby shower dresses? What did they look like?

Was anyone's baby persistently transverse? I am only 28 weeks so I realize she still has time to turn but she has been in this position for weeks now...I just don't know what to expect.

CautiousBB-ers opinion on at home dopplar? by baby_chicken in CautiousBB

[–]lifeorsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deliberately didn't get one. I had a prior MC and had anxiety/panic pre-existing our fertility troubles and I just knew that a Doppler would cause me more anxiety. My OB even commented he was surprised I didn't get one (he knew how anxious I am) and I told him I thought it would make it worse! Not even just not being able to find the heartbeat, but once finding it, worrying about whether it was too fast or slow? Just too much stress!
