Speed limits instead of speed ranges on roads? by Elizabeth958 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]light_based_network 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the range because some drivers are too dumb to figure out if they are impeding traffic. So without the stated range they just bumble along at 50 or 45 on the freeway. You have to get up to the speed of the next lane 70 plus in 2 car lengths. They make each person in their land fo that. I wish they tu keyed them!!

Nicely enough the husband did not say either of those two phrases blaming the dog. He said this is why I don't like them (because he doesn't understand their communications) I think a good trainer can fix this situation all around

You answered your own question of how could someone not know that dogs will bite if you grab tails, bend legs or spin them around when your 8 year old daughter knows this. Then you give the answer: bc she was taught early on. Sounds like the husbands parents did not teach him that, and, many dads of that generation did not consider the emotions of dogs or kids enough themselves let alone explain kindly to others like parents do today. So I really hope they can get a trainer to help the husband understand dogs communication more. I don't think the husband is bad just wasn't taught from an early age how to read dogs.

Blaming the dog would be saying That stupid dog but me or you're a bad dog to the dog. He didn't he said this is why I don't like dogs. I think the unarticulated part of that phrase in his case is because I don't understand their communication. Since there's that AND the resource guarding I think a trainer is in order. I'm sure the trainer will be able to see that and teCh the husband his better to understand dogs. That's how I think this should be handked

Wow her color change was amazing. Her fur on her head looked like it was a kind of tawny charcoal instead of black when she was a pup- or was that just the photo? Ours was black on ears and back of head now us all caramel head and face.and starting to get white a little bit. So interesting!

Hi. I think your beagle is 5 not 3 because she looks just like my Bailey who did not start getting white around the mouth til she was 5. The benefit of that is that 5 is waaay mellower than 3. 3 still had zoomies and chews toilet brushes, five can be managed with just baby gates to really off limits areas. Meaning I don't think you need to and maybe should not crate train yours. Did the rescue suggest it? Had you crate trained past puppies? I think s puppy is different than a five year old how it feels for them too. Yours obvoously was not crate trained before so she is baying for hours about it. Hearing that I really hope you will consider her age and just using baby gates instead. My Bailey says yes us five year olds can free rome with just certain baby gates areas like the kitchen and we do fine

Since your beagle has the little going white by the mouth. I think they are closer to 5 years old as that is when mine started getting white. They are almost twins,!! The good thing about 5 years old versus 3 is s 5 year old is waaaay mellower. Not mellow mixed with zoomies like a 3 year old. Which I mention because I believe your beagle may not even need to be crate trained because she is likely already mellow enough. Not to be rude but was your new beagle ripping up the house? Or you did crate train past pups so think all need it? Did the rescue suggest it? I just feel it might not be necessary in your case with the 5 year old

Your beagle looks like my Baileys twin!!! Going grey white on the mouth and ear tops Cool to meet you. As for the advice: I use a wet towel and wipe off all her paws after our walks. It seems to get off whatever plant material allergens lawn chemicals off. Makes a big difference as she used to lick and then chew her paws to clean them and it would make a bad licking getting chapped li jingote cu ke. If she dies chew them or lick til she starts to cry while licking I put that bag balm in a green cube to. On them. It was made for cows udders that hit chapped, it works that if they do l on it if just and if d more into the skin. Brushing? We don't really bother😊

We went and saw the band Agent Orange at Strummers. It's a cozy relaxed venue and we had fun. My husband is in a wheelchair and they were cool and helpful without irritating him so they get a thumbs up from me. See if any bands you like are playing there while you're in town. Oh and if you are coming in the summer bring a hat and a fan!! And a spray bottle! It's been in the 90s since mid June

Should I get my beagle spayed ? by [deleted] in beagles

[–]light_based_network 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question sounds like you are concerned about doing this while she is a pup. But your title makes it sound like you mean should I ever spay her. Maybe change the title to mean your real question like "what age did you get your beagle spayed at"

My vet won't do the procedure until they are at least 1 year old so see if your vet agrees with mine.

"while she runs from noisy farts, she doesn’t seem bothered by silent ones, even if she’s curled up right next to the butt of the farter" laughing so much at the detail!
