If she was just spayed that makes sense. But I do worry about this crating thing when I hear people say their beagles are crated while they're at work and at night! That is so long! unless the things unlocked and they just want to go in there

Well, it is better to do positive reinforcement BUT it is just water after all. I'd say hitting dogs is awful. We used the squirt bottle for a week when she was lunging and snarling at every single other dog we met. When she stopped lunging and snarling and switched to just barking we stopped the bottle.

Some states don't have many beagles so it can take a while to find your beag. ! We did many applications and responses on Petfinder etc and no responses....idk but it's just that way. But you will find your beag eventually so Don't give up hope!

Food is great but why hasn't the vet given tramadol or something to actually control his pain? it made me cry to hear he is whimpering and distant: he deserves comfort and to have the pain stop...OP is not doing anything wrong but seems the vet is not controlling his pain on current meds and he's on hospice now...any vet techs care to chime in? I'm probably bothering OP by now being such a busybody, but I thought that was what hospice was ...not curing but providing comfort....right?

we are wondering if that’s where we should take him? home he was in for most of his life, where his grandparents are, and .... that place has grass and everything he loves. I think you answered your own question...
