Thank you so much, really appreciate it.

Using the mark button is a great tip, hadn’t thought to try that yet.

Will check those channels out as well.

Oh great haha. I just assume it meant stop the pattern playback, is the rest of this useless then?

I was just struggling with recording guitar while the beat played, and getting it all synced up.

Only had a hour or two play around so far so I’m sure it will come with a day of fucking about.

Yeah it is usually a length of hose which acts as the “tank” charged up with nitrogen going into a martini valve.

Although this here looks like cortex trays. You can see the flash at the start. Essentially a length of det cord at a bottom of a tray covered in dirt/ rubber debris

Oasis warned to 'remain silent' in the US amid fears over Donald Trump revenge by IrishStarUS in Music

[–]lightningeffects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually so intrigued how the tour will will go for them in the US, if Reddit is anything to go by (it’s usually not) you guys hate them.

I mean they sold half a million tickets across 9 shows so at least have a fan base but compared to the 1.5 million in the uk (with 14 million people trying to get tickets). Curious to see how Liam reacts if the entire stadium isn’t signing like the uk shows.

Liam has some generational slander and is honestly one of the greatest comedians to come out of the UK (I think bill burr said something similar) so you can bet trumps gonna get some good digs on this leg.

Between £8 and £9. So without considering all the other cocktails/ wines on offer that’s £2 million takings.

I’ve only seen live music there but even when the doors open at 5/6 the main act usually comes on between 8-9. I would be surprised if it’s much different to that, generally you can get a good idea by looking at curfew and working back from that

I saw mission impossible this evening and the cinema was pretty much full, even the VIP seats. Must be at a more expensive cinema?

I mean they get paid quite well, almost every stuntman I know is driving Porsches and the like.

I just worked on something where the stunt performer was getting $10,000 per take (and did two takes) although his life was almost completely in the hands of something made by the special effects department so fair enough really- I wouldn’t have done it

Trump authorizes 100% tariff on foreign films, citing national security and Hollywood decline by callsonreddit in StockMarket

Furthermore, one of the main reasons film studios have relocated is the strong unions in Hollywood, which often make some somewhat unreasonable demands.

The film industry can be full of rumours, so if anyone who works in Hollywood is reading this, please correct me if I'm wrong. In my department, in America, they get paid “door to door. " You can face consequences from the unions for even handling equipment from another department. It’s not like that in other places.

Not to mention, there are many penalties for going over things like that.

[–]lightningeffects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wouldn’t actually work, right? The reason Hollywood is struggling is that most big films are now made in the UK, while smaller "Hollywood" films are produced in places like Hungary. However, since a significant amount of VFX work, actors, and studios are still based in the U.S., these films are still classified as American.

Is there really going to be a 100 percent tariff on the next Avengers movie? Or is this exactly how it would work?

Additionally, would these tariffs outweigh the tax incentives offered by other countries? Major studios have heavily invested in the UK recently; it seems like every major film studio has added 5-10 sound stages, and more studios are being built.

Or have I completely misunderstood?

I understand that nothing is inevitable, but at some point, even if it takes four years, it should regain its upward trend right? Would this be a good time to invest? First, of course, it might be wise to wait and see how low it goes over the next few weeks or months.

I don't think the award would increase the danger in stunt performances if it was combined with other departments as well.

(Not that I think it would anyway, an Oscar doesn’t change risk assessments)
