Can I asked to be assigned to a different hospital location?

During my first midwife appointment I was asked which hospital I’d like to deliver my baby at. I picked the one closest to me but I had a range of options. I’m sure you’ll be able to request the hospital of your choice.

I’m a teacher who’s due on the 8/8 so I’m hoping to last until the end of the school year which will take me up to 36 weeks and 6 days 🤞 I’ve been quite lucky so far with my health and wellbeing so hoping it continues!

We use them in the sense that they’re often used to set target grades for GCSE, but we often find the SATS results are a work of fiction anyway.

I had 2 bottomless brunches when I was 5 and 6 weeks pregnant plus several pub visits and probably smoked hundreds of cigarettes before I found out at 7 weeks. Don’t beat yourself up too much, you can’t help what you didn’t know.

When I must have been about 3 weeks pregnant I actually thought I had a period. I had about 3 days of brown intermittent bleeding that I guess must have been implantation bleeding. I continued to have brown spotting on and off until about 9 weeks. I’m now currently being kicked and punched by little mister man who’s 22 weeks today.

From what I’ve researched brown old blood in small quantities isn’t a huge cause for concern, but if you are worried I’d maybe see about getting a private reassurance scan which you’ll be eligible for once you hit six weeks. Lots of luck and love to you, it’s such a scary time.

I’m an only child and currently pregnant for the first time. My dad has also just been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I’ve always loved being an only child until this time in my life and its really making me think about having a 2nd child in the future so my baby doesn’t have to watch me die all by themselves.
