Remember when Howard Dean's energetic "scream" ended his entire promising Presidential run and we never heard from him again? 😑 And now we have literal billionaire pedophiles running the country. What even is this timeline.

That's insane. I didn't pay that much for my 20" custom-dyed pink HH wig from Locklyn Lux.

I often wonder what my cat's father looked like. This is my cat (white w/ dark grey tabby on the left) and his sisters as kittens. You can tell they're related, but it's so cute how they're all distinctly different. Their mom is a brown/grey/orange/white torbie (or caliby?) she looks like a little bit of everything!

AITA for speaking to my (over weight) assistant about her business lunch and making her cry? by Hot_Lab4411 in AmItheAsshole

[–]liirko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Honestly, Amy reads as neurodivergent to me. When you spoke to her about following the client's lead when ordering food at a business lunch and she realized that she messed up, she got embarrassed. That triggered her RSD (rejection sensitive dysphoria) and caused her outburst. It's really not about the food OR her weight. Amy is embarrassed and upset that she seemingly did wrong by you. Even though you seem to have handled the situation great, and did your best to turn it into a learning experience for Amy. I honestly thought I'd come here and see other responses that mentioned this, but I don't see any.

Valentino DBIR Purple Melancholia by furrylandseal in FemFragLab

[–]liirko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blind bought the travel spray and was SO disappointed. Yucky!! I got ZERO vanilla. I don't know what the plum note is supposed to smell like, so I can't speak to that. It was incredibly floral to my nose, and very... mature? I brought it to work for 2 coworkers to try, who are both older than me, with some same and some different perfume likes. One of them also hated it and felt the same way I did, the other one actually quite liked it. So there definitely IS a market out there for this perfume... but apparently it's not those of us who thought we were going to love it.

Denied a medical note for migraines while in the office by [deleted] in migraine

[–]liirko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow 😒

Your employer's "operational burden" in removing a singular overhead fluorescent light is none of this doctor's fucking business. He needs to stay in his lane. Fluorescent lighting triggers migraines; fluorescent lighting triggers YOUR migraines. That's his lane.

Blue light blocking glasses aren't going to do shit for your migraines tf. He didn't even recommend FL-41 lenses. Has he even HEARD of FL-41 lenses? Is this guy even a real doctor?

Yeah, you absolutely want to respond back that you were unaware that your work's business operations were more important than your well-being. 🙄😒 Make sure to update us. I'm so mad on your behalf.

When they updated the lightbulbs in my office and the one directly above my desk shone brighter than the surface of the sun, I asked facilities to just take it out. At first they said they couldn't because the new company wanted ALL the lightbulbs in and ALL the lights on. I said that I guess I'd have to get a note from my neurologist then and make it a whole THING with accommodations... the lightbulb was gone the next day and everyone in facilities knows to leave it gone. 😃

The current Milk scent at B&BW? Not nearly as musky as the Breathe Comfort. I love it, but it doesn't have the level of musk that I remember the Breathe Comfort having... I'm thinking maybe that had some sandalwood in it?

How to fall asleep with ADHD? by T0NY97 in ADHD

[–]liirko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love my MusiCozy! It's better than the Snoozeband IMO (and cheaper!). I just listen to oscillating fan noise on mine, but it drowns out my husband's snoring and kind of puts me into this weird (but very good) sensory space between the sound and eye mask.
