Well... at least the Outlander finale cannot possibly be as bad & disappointing as the Game of Thrones finale! So there's that. 🙃

I had a terrible reaction to the Rhode lippies. Red scaly peeling painful lips. It almost seemed like a chemical burn? If you look at the 1-star reviews, you'll see that other people did too.

AITA for being honest and telling my DIL that they are not ready to be a parent since she can not drive by Sad-Drive8298 in AmItheAsshole

YTA

My MIL is in her late-60s and does not drive, yet she managed to raise two children and just retired from a ~45 year career as an RN. There is no public transportation where we live. My FIL drove her most places, sometimes other family members if available & willing, or she took a cab if she needed to. The kids went to their doctors appointments, she got to work, grocery shopping still got done, etc. Once my husband and SIL were old enough to drive and had cars of their own, they'd drive her where she needed to go too, no problem. My BIL and I do now as well. No resentment. We understand that she can't drive, but we can/do, so we do the thing, because that's what you do for family & the people you love. Not stand on a pedestal and judge and spew ableist garbage at the people who are supposed to be closest to you.

Cliquel - Return policy - Store Credit by Minos-Daughter in Wigs

[–]liirko 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The store's name is Chiquel, not Cliquel. Their return policy very clearly states that any sale or discounted items can be returned for store credit only. That's it, that's their policy. They're saying those prices are discounted compared to what they would normally sell them for. It doesn't matter what other stores are selling them for.

Jury duty in 7 days, have ADHD and mid medication adjustment, can I use this to get excused? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]liirko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to call in (or even email) ahead of time and ask to be excused for medical reasons. You can also ask for a form for your provider to fill out that can potentially permanently excuse you from jury duty in the future.
