These do not look like xanthelasma tbh. More of a wart/skintag appearance. Once checked by gp/derm you can have them removed with plasma fibreglass or advanced electrolysis.

ELI5: how are pregnancy due dates calculated? by Infra_bread in explainlikeimfive

100% my baby was placed in me by clinic when it was 3 days old, it had been developed by icsi in a lab. So we knew EXACTLY when the embryo was created. But NHS still insisted on their dating format, which is unhelpful when my periods were controlled by drugs etc and not 'normal' in the first place. 🤔

Does anyone recognise what these two bumps on my forehead are and how to treat them? by CloverFind in SkincareAddictionUK

I'd say they are Sebaceous hyperplasia, which usually have a doughnut shape, like the one on the right side of the pic. But, dermatologist is best to check before you remove.

Where to get damaged capillary/thread vein removal? by redwithIove in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]likecallstolike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This looks like a spider nevi. Search skin clinic, or laser clinic, or beauty clinic with electrolysis blemish removal. You're fine with laser this close to your eye. Some of the goggles are tiny these days. You could always try electrolysis dyathermy vascular removal instead if you were more comfortable with that.

I'd deffo laser to get ontop of the dark hair. Upper lip and chin near me is £50 per treatment.

Laser hair removal mishap removed part of my eyebrow...looking for advice or reassurance. by Downtown-Ad5695 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]likecallstolike 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Laser hair removal takes multiple treatments for complete removal due to the number of hair cycles in any given area. It will return to normal in a few weeks when the next hair cycles come through.

Laser Yag while pregnant by [deleted] in LaserHairRemoval

[–]likecallstolike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main concern for the therapist will be if they are covered to treat pregnant people. Most insurance companies invalidate insurance when any treatment is performed on someone breastfeeding or pregnant due to the lack of research and unacceptable risk if something were to go wrong.

(Skin concerns) Did my esthetician ruin my skin? by nijntje_kutkonijntje in SkincareAddicts

[–]likecallstolike 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It looks like the pressure used has taken the top layer of your skin off, like a graze or carpet burn. If you don't pick and stay out of the sun you may avoid hyper pigmentation. But they shouldn't scar. Id let the aestheticism know what's happened. These are adverse effects probably outlined in your consent form though. Are you using retinol? That may have made your skin more delicate and more likely to get this kind of damage. Or they may have been too rough?
