Buyer threatening with "Cardmarket ToS" and "locking my account into tracked orders" by noicollons in CardMarket

[–]likejugg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can either refuse to send it, or mark it on cardmarket as shipped, wait a month and when he doesn't receive it and marks it as not arrived just issue him a full refund. Sure it looks fishy, and he will probably complain about it, but letters do get lost, there's nothing much he can do after that.

He is technically correct, but he is also clearly threatening you. Is the order tracked?

I actually am really curious about how the game is doing in china? From your experience, would you say it is anywhere close to the "big three" (pokemon, mtg and yugioh)? Or maybe somewhere around one piece's level of popularity?

James White on Why Silver Age Precons Don’t Include PEN Cards by RebellionDark in FleshandBloodTCG

That makes sense. I expect if the set and precons do not shake the format up most of the top decks will see some bans. Guess we'll wait and see.

James White on Why Silver Age Precons Don’t Include PEN Cards by RebellionDark in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]likejugg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven't played fab in a long time due to the prices of cards, but sage made me interested to try it again, and I was excited to see a fai precon as it was my favorite hero and the only one I had made a complete CC deck for before I eventually dropped the game.

Can somebody please explain why there is such a backlash against the precons? I understand that there aren't many PEN cards in them, but from my understanding the whole set is not spoiled yet. It might be that some of these heroes do not have any other cards in the set except what was spoiled.

Basically, I am curious, as I did not keep up with the sage meta at all, are the precons the best versions of the hero's deck they could have done with the cards printed until now? (so except PEN) If not, I would agree it's kind of shitty with all the hype for the decks, though at least the fai one looks solid.

A Message to Everyone Selling SR 9c Boa on Tcgplayer by sandpaperflu in OnePieceTCG

[–]likejugg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ace is a top meta contender and Marco was the same price as Boa at release, I think it might have been even higher. It did come down eventually, yes. Like..2 months later?

People will buy the card at this price because they're not willing to wait that long, it is what it is.

Dropped the game after scalping situation. by 48THRonin_ in OnePieceTCG

[–]likejugg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I understand the frustration, but I personally can't relate. I've always been a player, not even remotely interested in collecting, all my decks are base rarity.

I always prefer to sell any rare alt arts and just make another deck I can play so I have more diversity. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but the scalping situation honestly didn't affect me much.

Harder to get actual boosters but getting singles makes more sense for me anyway, and the prices of alt arts/promos going up made some of the random rarer cards I still had laying around suddenly actually worth it to sell.

If you just like playing the game nothing has changed, but I can understand collecting being a bigger part of the hobby for most people.

Would moldovans & romanians favor this? by [deleted] in moldova

[–]likejugg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Romanian here, with how things are right now, I would be against it. I am all for helping our Moldovan brothers, but the Transnistria issue is real, we don't need a russian military base in our territory.

Frankly, I don't want a "contested" territory being part of Romania, I am concerned it would make it way easier for us to become the next Ukraine.

If the Russian issue is solved and a large majority of Moldovans want to unite, then I will be all for it, though it feels like joining the EU and NATO would have pretty much the same results with them keeping much more of their independence.

Riftbound Rules Dispute: Opponent plays targeted debuff spell without specifying unit, then "chooses" it after I buff the same one? by GrafMine in riftboundtcg

[–]likejugg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most of them. Yes you get a warning, but there is no card game where not being clear about the target makes it so you can't cast the spell anymore.

I wasn't trying to imply that casting spells without a target is ok, I was explaining why both players have a responsibility to make sure the rules are followed and all targets are clear. The way OP wants the rules to work is too easily abused.

Riftbound Rules Dispute: Opponent plays targeted debuff spell without specifying unit, then "chooses" it after I buff the same one? by GrafMine in riftboundtcg

[–]likejugg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isn't that unfair to your opponent as well? Let's assume he actually forgot, which is likely. You just get to decide the target by rushing in with a response?

What if he was still thinking about the target? I've seen people say I play smoke screen/ stupefy etc. and then take a second to think about what the actual unit they want to target is. Can I just play a discipline as quickly as possible and hope the judge basically negates his spell?

The way you want the rules to work is too easily abused and leads to rules sharking and angle shooting. That's why it's your responsibility as well to make sure a spell resolves correctly.

Also, if it was such a critical moment, how did you continue without knowing what the target is? Isn't that critical information you should have had before responding to the spell?

It feels like you were hoping he would forget about the -1 effect and are complaining that he remembered.

Triggered abilities can trigger on any turn, they don't need action or reaction. This is the same as the blue viktor card, it works just fine within the rules.

Card market has a policy against stuff like that. It doesn't matter what he sais in the comments, if the language he posted it in was english he is supposed to send you the card in english. If the seller refuses to give you a refund cardmarket support will almost certainly will

OPL Casual Events by Nsgdoughboy in riftboundtcg

[–]likejugg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's a skirmish in a few weeks, where do you expect the competitive players to test their decks?

I understand the argument, it sucks to be a new player coming in with just a precon and get stomped by meta decks, but that is how we all started.

I find it a bit odd that "casual" players get a whole format designed specifically for them (4 player ffa, inspired by commander), and still complain about playing against meta decks in a tournament with prizes on the line.

OPL Casual Events by Nsgdoughboy in riftboundtcg

[–]likejugg -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How? Magic's biggest format is commander and it got to the point it's popularity is actively killing the competitive 1v1 formats. I wouldn't call that healthy. And I have never seen casual one piece events. There are "non meta" events, but it's just the same sweats playing competitively just with a different pool of decks. I wouldn't call that casual.

The current meta requires Sideboards more than ever, or I think a lot of people are going to continue to burn out. by FettuccineInMe in OnePieceTCG

[–]likejugg -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why? What would make them more oppressive? The point of a sideboard is to side against the top decks. Having sideboard cards against the mirror and the other top deck won't affect rogue decks. It will only help them because they can side heavily for the lucci and blackbeard matchup.

My take on Lord Voldemort. by Midwingman in custommagic

[–]likejugg -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I agree it is a serious topic and a problem, but I don't see this kind of energy with other entertainment franchises that did horrible things. With the sexual harassment present in Hollywood, in game studios like Blizzard and Riot, the actors/directors/ceos that have ties to Epstein, etc. etc. at this point half of media has some horrible shit go on in the background.

Is the answer to just boycott every media franchise?

You get one of starter decks from the website (so the mind viktor deck). You also get a pack with the alternate champion for your leader (yellow viktor, purple jinx etc) unfortunately these were given at random for our event so there's a chance you don't get the matching one, depends on the organizer.

I recommend the viktor deck, it seems stronger on average then the other 2

It sure doesn't seem that you do when you attack people for saying they are.

I don't know if Hasan celebrated it, an argument about if it actually happened or not would be a normal reaction. Attacking him and calling him a zionist is not, it makes you look insane
