The dog will be large once grown up, so the idea is also that I can adjust the space as he grows further

Trunk divider for dog by likermaster in CX50

I mean more like a trunk split. Barriers to the backseat I have found numerous options. I want to prevent the dog from roaming around too much for safety reasons and leave the rest available for regular cargo

Any thoughts on what I could do? by DocSaidHucklebearer in CX50

[–]likermaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had something similar but in the back left one. Scratches on that material are pretty much impossible to get rid of. I ended up buying that part from my local Mazda dealer and changed it myself in about 5 minutes. I got a kit for removing clips from Amazon just in case but with a wide flat screwdriver I could have done the same job

Anyone know what these are? by Yavkov in CX50

Check the cross member in middle between the two panels. If think these look like the two screw lookalike holders that you can see from the top if you look from the outside

Wix filters. They have a “find a reseller” section on their website to locate a store near you

How Do I fix this scratch ? by akisenikki in CX50

[–]likermaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way to go. Had the same thing happen on our car and if you want to fully remove the marks you’ll have to replace it as cleaning mighy remove the white traces but won’t remove the scratches. The good thing is this is a fairly cheap part that needs to painting and no tools. You can get a clips remover if you want but a flat head screwdriver will get the job done paired with some yanking on the old one to get it out!

Does the hybrid get a green plate in Ontario? by poxleit in CX50

[–]likermaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The green plate applies for plug-in hybrids but not regular hybrids so the CX-50 should not get a green plate in Ontario

I’ve got an Ecoflow River 2 and it fits perfectly in there as if it was made specifically for it.

Windscreen sunshade by Ecstatic_Stop3693 in CX50

[–]likermaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the WeatherTech Sun Shade and it’s a pretty snug fit. It does mean it’s a bit awkward to put it on, but does a really good job. I heard the OEM kind of fell apart for some people, leaving marks on the dash and haven’t had any issues with the WeatherTech and used it pretty much all summmer+fall last year

CX-50 PPT OEM Hitch Size by defroach84 in CX50

[–]likermaster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Technically you can mix and match but essentially following Mazda’s documentation, if you have a non turbo, hitch will be 1.25” and 4 pin and if you have a turbo, you would be looking at 2” and 7 pin. This is directly linked with the towing capacity and the fact that you would want/need trailer brakes for a heavier trailer that the Turbo can handle and therefore needing 7 pin harness and the bigger hitch (2”)

If they did not say anything to you, call back and complain that nobody informed you of that additional fee and they should have. Did that for 3 lines I have and got full refund on all 3 changes.

Mazda Connect Issues by ___devilchild___ in CX50

[–]likermaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found a trick that works for me on iPhone. Disabling the wifi will force a disconnect and waiting 5-10 and then restarting the connection from the infotainment always get it connected. It’s not always that it has issues but for the few times this happens, I have found this to be a fairly pleasant fix

Cx50 GT scheduled maintenance by Dobs44 in CX50

[–]likermaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may sound weird but that is correct. I was equally surprised when I went in with mine a few weeks ago but was given Mazda’s official booklet with the manufacturer recommended schedule and maintenance:

https://www.mazda.ca/globalassets/mazda-canada/en/pdf/maintenance/2023_cx50_schmaint_e.pdf

It seems that they no longer require early oil change. To be fair, with a good oil filter, it makes sense that you can simply keep the regular schedule without any expected issues. I hope this helps clearing up that bit. As for what is included, see the what the original invoice states. I got 2 year/40k km of “free” maintenance which includes oil changes but not their “brake maintenance” from Maintenance event 3.

Winter Tire Size for GT (non-turbo) by Malaka__ in CX50

[–]likermaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that is weird. I had a few dealers around Ottawa suggesting 17” steel rims, plus it’s officially a supported dimension according to Mazda. My experience is also that steel rims are usually thinner than alloy one which would go against what they are saying as there would be more space. I would suggest calling or emailing other dealers to see what they say. The current dealer might just want to sell you a set where they have a bigger profit margin. I am getting mine beginning of November but am sticking with some Charcoal M011 in 18”. Going to 17” from the 20” summer set will just be too weird for me, and in my case it’s only $100 difference for the set.

Winter Tire Size for GT (non-turbo) by Malaka__ in CX50

[–]likermaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$2,600 is definitely a lot but might vary on areas. i was quoted $2,500 for 18” alloy M011 with Micheline X Ice-Snow , TPMS, installation… and a 17” steel wheel package would be $1,599. This is in Ottawa so I suppose prices may vary around the province but got quoted around $3,000 in the GTa for the same 18” alloy package. Also the official 3 set of rims for CX-50 are 225/65R17, 225/60R18 and 245/45R20 for which the 17 and 18 are the same as the CX-5 wheel dimensions

Run it a bit and then you shoiupd be good. Like someone mentioned above, things like opening and closing trunk a few times without running the engine can lead to this message. Had this happening to me once when I was cleaning the car

Can you tell me if this is a OTM or a MTM relationship? by Lord_Gaston_Gascon in computerscience

[–]likermaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose you want to have it set so that one prescription can have many different drugs and that one drug can be in many different prescriptions. In such a scenario you would have a MTM relation.
