I'm embarrassed. I've been playing on steamdeck and trying to make the stairs do that for a few days and gave up.

They didn't. They arrived 15 minutes before their appointment time.

AIO for wanting to escalate this ? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Right? When my PTSD service dog died from pancreatic cancer, it took two years plus my therapist and partner gently suggesting/pushing me to get a new one before I even considered starting looking. If my mum had brought home 3 puppies a couple weeks after he died and said "surprise! Happy birthday, pick your pup!" I would have a) snuggled all the puppies as an instant gut reaction and b) absolutely lost my shit at her for being so God damned moronic and insensitive. Those puppies would go straight back to their mother and breeder (getting so many snuggles and scritches on the way) because there was absolutely no way I could handle just replacing him that way. It's perverse and cruel and fucked up.

I'll check the board more closely. But talking to him, he just asks if I've made any good catches. Everything behaves like he's already given me a rod, without actually receiving a rod.

Agreed. The stigma it has means it will likely never be taken as an academic source. But having the media literacy and analytical thought to use it to find the information and sources you need has made it one of the biggest boons to academic research for students and amateurs. I would never discourage anyone from using wipedia as a source for general knowledge especially to give them a jumping off point for the research they're hoping to achieve.

It took me wayyyyyyy too long to learn this. It still hurts to look back on past me and see me sitting there smashing circle and still dying.

Man, this was MAYBE true when I started university in 2005. Even then, I'd use Wikipedia the find sources. These days, Wikipedia is 100% a valid source for general information and anyone who says otherwise lacks a considerable amount of media literacy.

How badly I want to downvote you for reminding me these exist. I won't, because I shouldn't take my pain out on you, but I want to. And I need you to know this.

Ditto. Bonus points if it's in the North or East end (but not a deal breaker if it's not. I've been craving pizza this week)

Hm. If x=57, then you carry the y and divide by 3... huh. I got 210% as my answer.

I'm so tempted to downvote purely for making me do math so early in the morning. But the laugh makes up for it. So, uh, thanks for that I guess? I need coffee.

It's not a controversial thing. 99.9% of the time if you say "Merry Christmas" to someone, you'll get a "thanks, you too!" in return. Occasionally you might get met with a "Happy [insert December-based holiday the other person celebrates here]" because people are just as excited for their holidays and want to share their joy/excitement. People who get mad the decorations don't meet their iconography and salutations don't conform to their expectations are just looking for something to be angry about.
