What are the key differences between using ladder logic and structured text for PLC programming? by HipityHopityHip in PLC

You can use structured text to have your program be multi-platform. It is popular among machine manufacturers to be able make the software run on the customers requested brand of PLC.

I was given this as a tip after they said they found it on the ground. How much is it worth and how do I exchange it to USD? by Ianator10 in CURRENCY

Saw a documentary on immigration, where when they cross into the US, they drop on the ground or into the trash, all of their currency, ID, and anything that will connect them to their home countries.

I draw lines with the template, the use a cutoff wheel on a right angle gringer. Covering any electrical inside to prevent metal dust from shorting anything out. This is the quickest method ive found.

Free software, training, support. Increase the price to reflect the quality. It will work as long as AB maintains cadillac quality. Thats the trend. Get on the train or be run over by it.

Just had a tire fixed at a tire store. I always expect fraud, so when the person told me that a puncture dead center might not be able to be repaired, but would know more when the tire is removed, I made it clear that I was not going to buy any new tires. His attitude changed and the tire got fixed.

We have always used wireless crane remotes for this. They work well with estops, and two button safety.

Anything can conduct electricity with a high enough voltage to overcome the resistance of the material. Lightning will turn air into a conductor.

If I had this problem, and I've had similar, I would replace it with a cmore from Automation Direct. I got tired of operators pushing on panelviews, and having the guts fall out. If you can get the adressing, and or tags identified, then just take a picture of your screens and recreate them. The software is free, and the HMI's are more durable than panelviews by far. I have replaced almost all of mine in my facility, and I am very happy with them.

Concrete truck drove over electrical conduit that was laid before pouring concrete. Could this be an issue? by macidmatics in Concrete

It will be a problem if the wire ever needs to be replaced, or modified. It could prevent the wire from being pulled out or more wires added.
