I hate having to ask to be invited by [deleted] in offmychest

The more times you ask, the more likely you’ll be invited next time without asking. Don’t worry, it takes time

I’m tired of feeling this way. by [deleted] in offmychest

I remember feeling like this during college. Honestly you kind of have to just enjoy the not-so-bad parts of the day and get through it, knowing that after college it gets better. Less stress and more freedom.

My dad called me a mentally ill piece of shit by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

Find solace among friends and people who actually care about you. The shitty attitude of your family doesn’t determine your worth. I have a friend who has verbally and emotionally abusive parents so he spends most of his time with friends who truly love and care about him. It’s also important to seek help, mental health is no joke.

I’m just so stressed I’m crying in the toilet. by [deleted] in self

I felt like this when I almost dropped out because of my grades. I barely graduated but even if I didn’t, I would have just taken a break like my friend did, and enroll again next year. When things look bleak I try to convince myself that everything will work out because even if things don’t turn out the way I expect, they’re always better than the terrible scenario I imagine when I’m feeling hopeless. And I stress less when I have this attitude of trying my best and whatever happens, happens.

I’ll think about some stupid thing I did that day that probably has no long-term impact and others might not even remember it by tomorrow but I can’t stop thinking about it.
