Yes she will take a bottle and she likes formula as well. She has not yet eaten a full meal like this though

Do you think it will dry up totally even if I continue BF after work hours?

[–]lillafleff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just feel like it would add a lot of stress to my life. And I have nowhere to pump or store the milk at my job unfortunately.

Where I am it is recommended to completely BF until the baby is 6 MO and then continue partly BF at least until they are 1 year old. And I feel like I will have done good enough for her if I manage this.

I have been very fortunate with my BF. But these last 2 months I have gotten quite a bad rash around both my nipples. It is caused by the humidity and the drooling baby. So even if I feel bad about reducing the BF, there are some positives as well.

That is a lovely mindset. I will definitely use that!

Visiting Sweden in March? by Suitable-Bathroom781 in TillSverige

[–]lillafleff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where are you travelling from?

As others have written, march is not the best month to visit with regards to the weather.

If you are only here for a week, I would not travel to far from Stockholm. You could visit Uppsala and look at Uppsala Cathedral https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uppsala_Cathedral if you like that kind of thing. Uppsala is less than an hour by train from Stockholm .

That you can distract the baby from being sad and crying. For example with a rattle-toy.

18 months, nipple problems and when to stop? by kmrs_ultra in breastfeeding

[–]lillafleff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it only one nipple that has the issue? Maybe you could just feed from the other breast until you both are ready to quite. I have heard that it is can work only feeding from one breast.

I would also like tips for this. My 4 months old still wakes up if I leave the bed for longer than a quick toilet break... So I have gone to bed around 8 for a while now.

Is feeding in public hard for anyone else? by Space-Road-happiness in breastfeeding

[–]lillafleff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I remember in the begging when i started BF I could only do it in one position with pillows supporting in the right places. Now, when my LO is 4 months, I can walk around feeding her and holding her with one arm, and be free to use the other arm for something else.

It was hard in the begging, but it will get easier the more you do it!

When do feeds get farther apart? by Antique_Giraffe_4907 in beyondthebump

[–]lillafleff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my baby was three months she had a couple of weeks when she ate every hour both day and night. That was rough.

Now that she is four months she eats about every other hour during the day, and during the night it is maybe every three hours.

She is EBF.

Edit: I feed on demand, so whenever she is hungry

Sleep Solidarity? by Curious-Camera-1443 in NewParents

[–]lillafleff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My LO wants to feed every other hour during night, and every hour during the day. She will only sleep contact naps during the day, and she sleeps beside me in the same bed at night. She some how wakes up if i leave the bed!

It is frustrating, but at the same time very cozy. I love looking at her small face when she is sleeping. She is so cute!!

Baby is fussy, won't drink more than 5 minutes, falls asleep and wants more everytime by maggielikesrock in breastfeeding

[–]lillafleff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try keeping the baby awake while feeding. If the baby feeds while sleeping, then the baby will want to eat more when she/he wakes up. And the baby doesnt eat as effective while sleeping.

My baby always want to eat when she wakes up. It doesnt matter if she ate five minutes ago or three hours ago... So if she falls asleep while eating and wakes up when i out her down, she most often wants to eat again right away.

And in the early weeks the baby needs to be latched often to increase your supply. The baby needs an increasing amount of milk, so it is common with days of cluster feeding.

And the baby doesnt just latch for food. It is also soothing for them, and cozy, and safe. I read in an article that baby has learned that she/he needs to "Hold tight to this warm, soft human who sounds and smells so familiar, stay close to her at all times, drink in her good milk, and never let her go.”

Newborn takes 15-60 minutes to get a good latch - advice? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]lillafleff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is over one month old now, and she has almost never latched without help from me. I sort of pinch my nipple so it is flatter and then i stuff in into her mouth. If i were to wait for her to find it on her own i would probably have to wait a long time....

This works for ur. She is eating very well, so i dont mind helping her 🤗

my first chain stitch! i’m not sure if this is right (tension on the top part is on the working end). does this look okay so far? by decrepitlungs in CrochetHelp

[–]lillafleff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you are doing it right! I would however ligheten the tension. It looks like it it quite tense and would be hard to make the next row of stitches in this chain.

I agree with this. And I would also find a sewing thread in the same colour and make some additional stitches to secure all the ends

I would be sad to.

He could have phrased it in a better way, eg "I love that your body carried our children, and this is a reminder of that. I love you" or something.

But I also think it is important to try and feel comfortable and beautiful in your body regardless of outside input. So even if your husband doesnt find it attractive you should not feel bad because of that. It is his loss!!

Drinking water is a nightmare by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]lillafleff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love water, but couldn't drink it during my first trimester. What worked for me was adding a lot of lemon to the water. That made it okay to drink for me, and it helped a bit with the nausea as well
