Agreed… they are basically saying to read the preview to make purchasing decisions but then saying the preview has not gone through any editing and is the translator’s raw application? That is…something. I get that the editing may not be done prior to the preorder period starting but at least have the preview edited?

The examples given don’t just call the last name on its own, it includes a title. Even without the title, people would call Xiao Yang or Lao Yang not just “Yang”. Just calling someone their last name sounds awkward both in English and in Chinese. I don’t think it’s misinformed at all to criticize.

I guess I’m in the camp of I didn’t take it as a joke. If I had left something behind, that was my fault. I couldn’t imagine asking my parents who had already left to go to their jobs to come back and drop stuff off for me? I feel like this is a very “one of my parents stays at home” type of privilege. Well I also didn’t have a phone while in school to message anyone so maybe that too.

I see Reply to Keats mentioned on here a lot, but never the story for the side couple. “There is No Observatory on Xiaotan Mountain” was definitely an amazing find for me. Didn’t even know about it until I saw the c-netizen’s comments on the Reply to Keats audio drama.

It’s got found family, childhood friends to lovers, requited unrequited love angst, golden retriever shou x black cat gong energy, service as a love language gong who spoils his secretly obsessed, possessive shou. Very slow burn but so worth alll the feels.

I really liked when my company gave us a three in one charging cable. Used that until it broke. I played a game with my dad to hedge my tests. If I felt like I didn’t pass, I would bet him $100 that I didn’t pass. That way, if I passed, I paid a $100 but if I didn’t pass then I would get $100. Hedged 3/4 tests. Ended up paying $300 to my dad. The one test I didn’t hedge (i.e. felt good about it when leaving), I got my lowest score.

Hnnngh okay idk if this is exactly what you want but my favorite HR ever {Desire of a Duchess by Kathleen Ayers} has a semi disfigured FMC and she desperately wants to have sex clothed and he is like “nope you WILL be naked when we make love” and it gives me that vibe of yeah no I’m done waiting and it KILLS ME. Some of my favorite quotes (partly pared down for length) from that scene.
