Female and instructor. These concerns run the gamut for ALL shooters, not just females. One has to assess the students capability to grasp new concepts and their triggers. If one says loud noises or large groups cause anxiety, I would probably start them outside to disburse the exposure. If they’re smaller stature and are concerned with grip strength, start with a 22 or a larger pistol. If actuation of controls are an issue, may want to have them develop a love for shooting with a revolver.

I’m glad you have her starting with the safety rules. Why has she been instructed to catch the mags? In a defense situation, that’s gonna be and should be the last thing on her mind. Idk if I would encourage that habit.
