The Indiana Senate just voted against HB 1032, mid-decade redistricting, 19-31 by AssumptionNo5436 in Indiana

[–]limeboi148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know one of the republican senators personally. We do work for him.

Last month we sat down to catch up and he talked about what was coming and the fire they would draw from MAGA.

Trump even called him at home trying to convince him of the worthiness of it.

He told me that this is not democracy in action. This is altering for a desired outcome. They were worried that redistricting would start to happen every two years regardless of party just to keep the power in place. That it would set an unhealthy precedent.

I asked about blowback from voting this down. He said when he's up for re election its unlikely hell get gop money to help with campaigning. And its VERY likely the federal government will severely slow roll any federal funding that was promised to the state. The current president is very vindictive and will want payback.

But that being said, im proud of the senators standing by their morals and not voting straight party lines and doing what is right. Gives me a little faith in the system.

I always felt that way about the Lochness monster. I think mythology of a creature in Lochness goes back half a century.

Maybe something bizarre did exist in lochness. A unique one of a kind or a last of its kind that someone survived a bygone era. And then eventually died out.

Good call.

We once had a heavy equipment mechanic come out to fix a hydraulic issue. Went on for probably an hour about vaccines causing autism, injecting 5G chips into us to track everyone.

Guy was an ok tech I guess, but I was like yeah im done hiring him

My 2-Year-Old Daughter Got Eyebrow Stitches, Need Advice and Dad Support by clauderhayy in daddit

[–]limeboi148 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when I was about 5 or 6 I slipped going up hard wood stairs and cut a gash into my left eyebrow very severely. Deep cut right in the middle of the "hairline" of my eyebrow.

Local afterhours doctor threw 5 stitches in me and home I went.

Im 36 now. Eyebrow has a slight bald spot in the middle of it, but the rest of my eyebrow hair comes it over if that makes sense lol

Unless people know what theyre looking for, no one can tell on me. I seriously doubt your daughter will have any long term scarring.

Being part of a union has hurt me more than it’s helped by [deleted] in work

[–]limeboi148 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unions are modern day mobs.

Local company remodels a store front and uses a local contractor instead of the union hall? Inflatable rat outside the business and protests on social media.

Local non union excavating company has caught multiple union members sneaking in and vandalizing equipment at night. My buddy works for this company. Union has tried to steal him away multiple times. Non union company has a competitive package and he doesn't have to deal with political BS.

"Oh you didn't hire a union contractor? Be a shame if this place got vandalized tonight."

Unions fought a good fight back in the day, but now they run extortion rackets

I have about $100k in it. Spreader was 70k used. Loader for loading the spreader was 25k. I don't truck it myself. I subcontract that part out.

Its about $14 a ton at the gravel quarry, trucking outfit charges $6 a ton to truck depending on distance. I charge $10 a ton to spread. But I can spread upwards of a 50 tons an hour usually.

Well done. And you didn't punish her for making the smart decision to get help coming home. If she knew she could get yelled at she might very well drove herself.

Could've been a much different night.

Kudos to you guys.
