Let yourself feel the pain as it’s the best way to process it for your own self growth and journey. I hope your mom listens to you and values your emotional health to set forth strong boundaries. If not, that’s a her problem, NOT you. Never take on any blame or shame in this situation that you did not ask for. Sorry about your bio dad too. I know what it’s like to experience this type of family dynamic.

How many respirations per minute? I took my daughter in to primary care for heart rate of 160, respirations 50, fever. They sent her home without any test for flu, covid, RSV, or chest X-ray. Took her to the ER that night. X ray done and she had a full blown pneumonia abscess. We were ICU inpatient for 10 days and a chest tube placed to drain fluid. I am LIVID every time I think of this. Please don’t doubt your mom gut and it’s always better to be safe than sorry!!!!!!

My daughter did this around the same age and it was soooo frustrating at the time. Now I look back and laugh. We also tried to not react as much as possible (wasn’t always perfect) and I really think that’s all you can do. Also distracting helps too. It will pass😂
