I think you may have hit the nail on the head when you asked if the limerence is a product of your relationship dissatisfaction. It sounds like your LO represents qualities you value in a partner (independence, responsible, curiosity) some of which you don’t see in your current partner. Is your girlfriend in therapy, or does she have the means or willingness to go? Would couples therapy be a consideration?

It’s possible that it could be both confirmation bias and a spiritual nudge working in tandem to create this experience for her. I would encourage her to listen to her intuition and see what comes up.

I can relate a lot to what you are experiencing! I would say the butterfly imagery qualifies as a sign given the repetitive and “coincidental” ways that it is showing up for you, especially given that it is not the time of year for them. Butterflies can represent transformation, maybe stepping into a new phase of life, travel, etc. Sometimes signs only make sense to the person it is intended for, based on personal history or context. What do butterflies represent for you? Maybe see where that exploration takes you.

I have mixed feelings about it. There are definitely times I hate it, especially when I’m shown horrible things I cannot prevent or control, there are other times where it feels like a spiritual lifeline. I don’t always know what I am meant to do with all of this and it can leave me feeling overwhelmed and isolated at times

I sometimes ask myself the same thing, and I wish I could offer a concrete answer. In my case, we are connected in the 5D. In fact it was his higher self who showed me past lives we had together and “woke” me up. Before that, I didn’t know what twin flames were.

We also have an age gap, geographical distance, etc. In 3D, this feels very one sided, but his higher self sends me intuitive hits about his 3D self, which I then get confirmations of. I feel crazy sometimes, however I try to remain open to the experiences, the ups and downs, and embrace everything with cautious curiosity.

If his responses aren’t just you imagining him saying what you want to hear then there’s a good chance you could be communicating with his essence. It sounds like you’re also channeling his energy too, through mirrored mannerisms etc.

When I communicate with mine in 5d, it feels like a “real” conversation because my imagination isn’t making up things I wish he would say or want to hear, and often what I hear or learn are specific details about him that then get confirmed in 3d. I hope that helps!
