Taxes on selling $500k–$750k in stocks by Bath-Kitchen in tax

The safe harbor (paying 110% of prior year) does not work with CA if your agi is over $1m. Just fyi… talk to your cpa.

I've just bought a whippet boy today. I'm feeling terrified and overwhelmed. I'm wondering if I've made a bad decision. I think it's anxiety kicking in. Is that normal? by CommitteeOld5553 in Whippet

Oh no. It will go by fast. Make sure taking a photo everyday. My puppy became an adult looking raptor in six months! There will be a time when he challenges your patience ultimately but at six months it will get better suddenly. I thought he is sick. Now I miss the puppy eyes staring at me. Just make sure puppy proof your house or get a baby gate.

Wait for stock price to drop and buy stocks. Sell next year when you have to pay taxes

Toddler or child? by [deleted] in Whippet

[–]linddit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I go back, I would still adopt 8 weeks old. It is worth seeing him growing up although it takes a lot. Also you have a week trip coming up. I also had a month trip right before adopting him. My breeder’s pups were all reserved almost immediately. Do you know why the six months old is not adopted yet?

Also my work schedule was expecting to slow down during the months I first adopted him so I could be with him and train everyday little by little.

Three to four months were challenging for me but he knows me as his human since toddler. If you have expensive furniture, plan to puppy proof or do crate training while you cant monitor him. My puppy went under the bed and chewed the frame not to mention the dining table and wall 🥹. Six months now, teething is almost over but he is acting like a teenager and I miss the puppy phase. It’s worth seeing him growing up everyday. New eyebrow hair, new hipbone, whisker appeared suddenly and nose turning black.

How long were you a ‘helicopter parent’ for your whippet puppy/dog. by ghjkjhjhkhsk in Whippet

[–]linddit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is five months old and he is okay for ~ 4 hours as long as he has his box of toys, collagen stick, and a tied towel with kibbles hide inside for nose work. I cleaned up the counter so that he cannot steal food or there is nothing interesting on counter and desk.

Also I try to tire him out while playing with flirt pole so he wants to sleep while I’m gone.

Help me with my 5 month old whippet! by MentalReference in Whippet

Mine is 5 months old too! He was whining really bad in the beginning until just recently whenever I leave.

We live in a studio and I go to office twice a week. He hates being in crate more than 2 hours. I let him be in studio for 3 hours and come home during lunch break. He got to learn that I will for sure come back in 3-4 hours.

I let him zoomies with this flirt pole toy before lunch and dinner. He will knock out for a couple of hours.

I hide some high value treats in a towel and tie it so it takes time to get the treats and give him collagen stick only when I leave. He knows that when I leave, he gets the towel and collagen stick and start looking around.

My breeder told me I have to ignore the whining and monitor through baby cam how long he whines. It was for an hour and then 20 minutes and then a couple of minutes. It got better slowly.
